drawing on cards

Postby Option » May 29th, '06, 13:02

I was thinking of making replacements for colour Monte by using blank face cards. So I got out some all decks and tried scribbling on themwith some coloured permanent markers. But because of the finish of the cards, I couldn^t get an even colour. And also of course if you try too hard then the finish comes off and you destroy the card.

has anyone tried drawing their own cards with any success? I figured that anything like paints would be too wet and destroy the cards. And of course whatever it is it must withstand the rubbing of cards together.

i'd say use a stencil and a small paint roller, or spray paint perhaps

maybe use a stencil and an acrylic paint...acrylic paints aren't really wet so i dont think it would warp the card at all an i dont think that it would come off very easily with the cards rubbing together...use a small paint brush and just enought paint to cover...

just an idea :D

I print my own gaffs. It's a bit of work - but it does the job rather nicely. PM me if you're interested.
