Hey, I recently started doing some magic and was hoping for some advice.

Could you guys recommend some tricks for me?

I like tricks that you can just walk up and do to people on the street with no preparation. I really love the Criss Angel coin in a can effect and have had some sweet reactions. I also like coin unique and the self tying shoelace. I don't like card tricks.

I was thinking about getting Bottle Twister but I'm not sure how good it is.

Maybe you could post an introduction as it's kind of hard to advise when we don't know what level you're at. If you are a beginner I suggest getting some good DVD's or books and then practice like crazy. You get alot more effects for your dollar and you'll be a better magician for it.

I started with 'The Royal Road to Card Magic' Book, 2 decks of bicycle cards and some sponge balls. Try to avoid getting all the latest effects. Learn the basic and some sleights first. this will hold you in good stead for learning more magic.
