hi all-

i first began with magic when i was about 12 which lasted a few years.
then i gave my whole collection away to one guy with CF. It's been 25 years since i did any magic. Recently, i had that burning edge to get into it again... it did not leave me! so i walked into a local shop and bought up the pieces i wanted to get the "next" trick when i was still out there. Then my girlfriend found a guy selling his whole collection at a yard sale! All pro stuff! I am still going through it. The gods are looking out for me! Which is good am on a tight budget. Now i got the gear! My main focus is on patter or story line which i am not so good at. Can anyone recomend anything? I want to just do the pieces causal and not so formal. like after dinner or out and about in the street. etc. My girl friend loves magic and is patient with my practicing though she wants me to perform some soon! :D

Welcome,

Card magic:

DVDs - Born to Perform Card magic
- Ammar's easy to master card miracles (haven't got this myself but I hear that it is excellent)

Books - The Royal Road to Card Magic (Awsome I would recomend it to anyone!)
- Card College 1&2 (A lot more pricey than RRTCM which is about £5 but IMHO best books a begginer could have I wish I'd read 1&2 when I started out.)

My advice by one of the DVDs and RRTCM that way you see whether you like to learn from a book or DVD then if you like RRTCm buy Card College 1&2 then, if you want to really "get into Card Magic buy Card Collegfe 3-5 as well!

Cheers,

It's not really an optical illusion - it just looks like one!
