CLUB SANDWICH

Postby dat8962 » May 27th, '06, 19:59

Thought that I'd post a quick vid of this routine with a normal and then Tiger deck.

http://media.putfile.com/Club-Sandwich-84

The gaff for the Tiger deck is by Cardmaker and it's indistinguishable from the cards supplied in the deck.

Anyway, let me have any comments that you have.

PS - The ribbon spread with the blue deck is a bit urgh as the cards had a recent coating of fanning power and it's made them a bit too sticky.

Dave, as usual - a great performance. This is a really powerful effect, and your handling was flawless. Excellent job.

Ahh...... card magic and Satch. Is there a better combination in this world?

Man... I look at your black deck compared to mine (when it was bought brand new), mine had white edges while yours is perfectly black. I feel jibbed... :(

Anyways, great performance. :)

Nicely done :).

bitsandpieces: None of the black decks come with black edges - they are printed black on white card stock so they are white where the stock shows through. The trick is to draw over the edges with a Sharpie...

That was very nice and very well performed. Very smooth and flowing. I liked it done with the Tiger deck. I always like the look of tricks done with this deck as I feel the colouring gives it a more Prestige look. It is a trick I have never tried so it was even more of a pleasure to watch.

Magic is real, just look around you, some of the most amazing things have no reason, no explanation but are very real.

Very nice effect Dave. Too bad I'm not too fond of gaff cards :P. But still very nice! Just a bit slow on performance IMO. Maybe because it was done for video and you did the performance based on a spectator's PoV? Maybe it's just me.

A sharpie's a permanent marker which is great for signed cards etc.

Thanks guys for the comments and I'm pleased that you all liked it.

It was filmed from a specs viewpoint as I'm making a few demo vids as commercials to help the bookings and this was one of them.

That was a nice performance Dave. Satriani’s music seemed to suit the visual very well and gave it that extra bit of class.

But if your going to use this clip as an advertisement on your website I would recommend not to have it on the top of the list because of the slow build up. I believe that as a starter you would want the magic to occur in the first few seconds of viewing so as not lose your viewer’s interest. Once your audience knows what your capable of then there is more chance that they will stick around for the longer performances.
