How many pints have you consumed freely this week?

Well i do my magic in pubs to friends staff and people i don't even know.

I always find it great because of the music, chatting atmosphere and normally non daylight type lighting that always helps.

Nearly every 2 or 3 tricks i get offered a drink it's kinda hard to refuse even though im there to do it for gratis.

Many nights i gone down the pub with a tenner to empty my pockets in the morning with a splitting headache to find that i had 12 pints and came home with 12 quid (Maybe i forgot to hand people back their coins).

Well perks of the hobby eh:)

P.S I just came up with a great pub routine after many months which you get the barman to sign his signature on a Bank then you hold it in your fist and it vanishes only to be found behind the bar in the cash register. Has anything been done like this before?

Regards Alchy Burrrp!!

That's a very old effect. It's even outlined in the now mainstream book 'Mysterious Stranger' by David Blaine, which introduces it as a scam way to not only get the signed note to the till, but also blag two free drinks and the change from the round as well.

Unless your idea involves some sort of matter-transferrence transportation system (I believe Martian Magic in Germany sell these).

Whatever you're doing in the pub must be something people enjoy - 12 pints and your pocket balance in the black... not a bad way to spend the night. Sounds like you must be ready to go pro.

As far as my ciggy and TT routine, it's in the magician's only section. That's where secrets are stored in this forum. Sorry, but you'll have to wait until you gain access!
