The Effect: A borrowed quarter held at yor fingertips is visibly puntured with a pen...leaving the quarter shish-ka-bobbed onto the pen. The permanently puntured quarter and pen are immediately handed out for examination.

Cost: $24.95 US

Difficulty: 3, some slights used, but the two actual slights are very easy. More to do with timing than anything else.
(1=easy to do, 2=No sleights, but not so easy, 3=Some sleights used,
4=Advanced sleights used, 5=Suitable for experienced magicians only)

Review: The package comes with a 30 minute DVD, a pen and a quarter as well as a paper handout that covers the setup, reset and lines to use if someone wants to keep the quarter. (personally I would use another slight to "heal" the quarter. The DVD covers two performance versions, and two explanation versions. Both are incredibly simple. The mind even gets ahead of the explaination once you understand the concept.

Overall: 8 out of 10. Good trick, easy to do, but the holding manipulation at the beginning (before the slight) takes a little practice, but I think that will come with time. (I've only had it one day so far). Once practiced, I think it will be a killer effect.

I have also bought this trick and it is very necky on the timing. There is a sleight that is very old when handling with coins so many who will buy the trick will not have any problems. The only thing is the timing.
