Sorry :?: what point or question are you making?
If you are asking 'what effect is best' before i retired from children's parties i found strat-o-sphere was very popular.

going along the same lines as Stephen as I also did not understand your post I like the Jumbo magic colouring book and if you add the jumbo vanishing crayons its pritty good.

Magic is real, just look around you, some of the most amazing things have no reason, no explanation but are very real.

NO!

It has to be fun.

This can include sucker effects, but they are NOT a MUST.

You don't say if you make yourself the butt off the sucker effect.
Sorry, but from your post, it seems like you make them the " victims."

I DO use sucker effects. My favourite at the moment is Hippitty Hop Rabbits, where they play tricks on ME.

Entertain for laughs. Entertain for the children to be enjoying themselves while you are on stage.
Leave them with the feeling that they have had fun.

Sucker effects are one of the ways of doing this, as long as you don't make THEM feel or look silly.

I would be interested in what effetcs you do and how you use them, as you have only given a little information.

When the audience think they have seen how you do the trick then they get a big suprise!

You've got something on your shirt... boink! got your nose.

Do you have to have numbers in your name? Outside of l33tsp34k it's just annoying and people move on.

Can't see the point of this topic

I guess you watched Sammy Smith's Kidology - The magic ingredient?
On this dvd Sam explaines how to set up a good kids show.
He very much said the same about sucker tricks as you say Toyman.
But anyway while I'm at it I'll try to post a review on the dvd, if nobody has done that yet.

Cheers
