In milk magic, white poster colour or milk of magnetia is very much effective instade of original milk.

super oem is the comercial equivalent for milk pitchers and the like but i prefer dulux medow white no 9.

toyman often forgets to give background details:-

there are a few tricks that require you to use milk in your props like milk in newspaper, milky diwe etc.
as milk stains and goes off and is often very hard to shift from your props people use alternatives, super oum being one of them.

After a rush of C.U.P.S. a couple of years ago I bought a Magic Milk Pitcher thingummy and it came complete with a bottle of Feke Milk Concentrate. Diluted with water it looks very convincing as milk and doesn't stain at all. There's a bit of peculiar odour with it but that's about all.
