Greetings, My name is Sem and I am 22 years old. I have loved magic since I was 7 and saw an old Nam vet do card work in my neighborhood. I did some yard work and he taught me my first effect.

I have kicked it up in the last two years when I found some great deals on a Svengali, Stripper, and Marked deck from Fantasma. I showed some stuff to fellow students and my university and I was hooked even more.

Since then I have moved from gimmicked decks to some basic props, IT, Scotch and Soda, Nickles to Dimes, and D'lights.

More recently I have been focused on sleights and I am planning my first full public routine for August. I hope to even have an escape involved in the show.

I have no real plans to work professionally, practicing is almost as fun as performing in my book.

Aside from modern stuff I am terribly interested in the history of magic, especially pre-1600 magic.

I'm not sure if I am still an ameture hobbiest or a skilled one so I guess I'll fill that in later.

Hi and welcome! I'm pleased you noticed the 'style' of TM as all the Mods and most (!) of the members try very hard to keep this a friendly place. We've seen so much aggression and acrimony on other Forums and we're determined to maintain TM as a pleasant experience.
