Raven thru Flies or is it flys?

Postby Alchy » Oct 17th, '03, 21:21

I tried the coat.
I tried the long sleeve shirt.
I tried the T-Shirt.

Now i can confirm the Flies works too.
Just keep your hand 2 inches below the waist when you perform this one guys.
Hook to back of pants but not too tight or you could do a mischief.

Move jiggly bits to opposite side that your gonna retrieve too.
Magicianesses can skip this part!

Don't forget unzip before the trick.

Great for entertaining people on the beach!

P.S anyone going to Portsmouth Magic Festival next Sunday?

I'm not sure whether Chuck Leach would appreciate this 'routine' with his invention and I feel there may be a strong case for involving not only the Health and Safety people but also the Department of Sanitation.

Can you imagine walking up to a bunch of total strangers in a pub, zip undone, and asking them if they'd like to see something interesting? No, better not to even think about it! Suggest you keep this one as an 'underground magic' effect. [Of course, if Pamela Anderson decides to do a version where objects disappear 'chest' like that (!), I'll be happy to act as adviser, technical assistant, and gopher. For £350.00 a week - but that's all I can afford - OK?]

more to the point... do you REALLY want to risk something hurtling towards your nether regions at speed?... could be a tad embarassing when the spec says " you just threw it away when you doubled over!!!!"

hehe not something id try but hey, maybe thats just me

and youd have to be careful walking past large domestic appliances.

Try explaining what you are doing exactly as your groin is thrust firmly against the washing machine in mid cycle  . I tell you. Some things just can't be explained away!

Magicbilly

Thanks for the concern, but I would imagine than anyone who COULD work out the Raven's secret from this thread deserves a pat on the back.

It's very easy to see you point if you already KNOW the secret, but however anyone can see the correlation to a coin vanishing off a spectators hands and sore nether regions is quite interesting.

So, thanks for keeping 'an eye out', but the Raven's secret is safe.

(Especially after Paul Daniels removed the rather revealing picture off his website!!!)

The other thing to consider of course is that the spectator don't even know a Raven is being used. No magician says "I am going to do a trick with a raven..."

or at least I hope not.

but as Seige says - thanks for keeping an eye out.
