I've noticed that quite a few people seem to register and then never write a single post.

What's that all about?

anyone have any ideas?

There was a time when it was obligatory to register as a member before you could read anything or see anything.

Now, as you correctly state, there are lots of people who register with MINIMAL details and just browse.

I may even suggest to our 'host' that any account which lies dormant for more than 7 days or so without a posting will be deleted.

I was rather implying that accounts which are opened and left with ZERO posts for seven days should be deleted - not previously active accounts which 'lapse' for seven dormant days.
Such accounts are obviously opened for the purpose of 'browsing'.

Perhaps I didn't make myself clear...

Sorry

8) 8) 8)
i didn't post for two months till i gauged the forum and found i had something to contribute.

it appeared a bit secular at first unlike a lot of the other free for all saying nothing forums around you know what i meen.

i read pretty much all the posts but only comment on a very few relevent ones, wasnt thier a tell us about yourself thread on the old forum that could be revived / renewed sort of guest book sign in thingy, that mite persuade people to post earlier.

or how about a hello thread. :?:

Hello, I`m new, thought this was a good post to break my duck.
(where does that saying come from? answers on a rude postcard...)

I`m fairly new to magic, only started six months ago and was dragged here by google when I was trying to find out how to make my own pkpro.
Thanks the_mog, I`ve just purchased my own SSUD, I cant wait to see the postie try and get it out of his van.

I got into magic as a form of rehabilitation after a nasty bike smash, good ole nhs offered no physio, fingers werent exactly doing what i told them 2, and I looked around and took up magic.
I must have made myself a small bicycle mountain in the back yard but it really helped and now I'm fine and I have a passion for magic stronger than my passion for Beyonce.
:D

Thats my story, I hope to fit right in here and look forward to learning from you all in due time.
Thanks for all the help you have given me already.
BaB

ps thought I would do a little magic for you here...
I will now make the secret word vanish from between these two brackets!
( )
SEE! Tadaaa!

Thanks for the welcome.
:)

I visit a number of forums, magic related and not, this is one of the few I have bothered joining as the atmosphere just feels right.
I currently use magic to pay for my beer and am looking forward to climbing the ladder, I believe I am in the right place to help me with that.
:)

Thanks again and if you are new and reading this, say hello.

Sorry about the "jokes" you will grow to love them, think of it as a "lines not to use in my act" service.

BaB
