Daryls rope videos....

Postby BeerForDolphins » Sep 23rd, '03, 15:55

Anyone got them and are they on DVD?....are these a new set of videos or have they been out for a while? It's a bit odd because I have only just heard of them.

They are on DVD. They are numbered 6, 7 and 8, and if they include the rope stuff he does on FoolersDoolers 1, 2 and 3 you will be in for a treat.

I must confess to being a bit of a Daryl fan, and these dvds are high up there on my wish list

These have been out since the mid-late 90's on video. L&L is rereleasing all their videos on DVD.

This set takes you from square one on the first video, assuming you know nothing of rope magic, to advanced, professional caliber stuff on volume three. It is not just a collection of rope effects, but rather a COURSE on rope magic, teaching you many techniques which will allow you to understand rope routines in print as well as create your own routines. In addition, daryl teaches his own famous routine and a few other effects along the way. Very highly recommended.

If you are looking for a complete course in Rope Magic, then Daryl's DVD's may indeed be the ultimate source, but if instead you are just looking for a very powerful rope and rings routine, then look no further than Scott Guinn's own Ring and Rope routine.

It is also given as a bonus on the "Great Scott It's Magic" DVD, and for me learning this from the DVD and watching Scotts performance was part of what made the DVD so great.

I won't go into detail of the routine here, but believe me it flows really well.
