WEBMASTERS plese help!!!

Postby kalyalien » Jun 21st, '06, 11:30

Obviously I'm a magician, I don't need help there, but I'm a beginner when it comes to web-design, check out my site.

I want to add larger videos to my site. How should I record them and what should I use to edit/publish them?

Any help on this matter would be great!

Thanks in advance!!

What kind of software are you using now?

I use Adobe After Effects for video editing and compression. They do the job nicely for me. The downside is that the program isn't cheap, and if you're new to all of it, it can be a bit daunting in the beginning.

nothing at the moment, I have stayed away from XP movie maker, as I want it to be professional, I used a good digital camera for filming what I already have on my site but want longer, larger videos..

a few on this site that may suit your needs.

Personally I use windows movie maker and I do have Adobe as it came with page maker and a few other Adobe programs I aquired but I have not used it as windows fits my needs fine.

Thanks for the help Alex

I sat down with Windows Movie Maker and found it to be quite good actually, found a server and I'm away, great!

Now I have to trawl through all my footage and edit it!

So long as you don't use too many of those prefab titles Windows Movie Maker can produce some quite professional results.

You might also like to have a look for some fonts for your video titles. This can make them look a bit more unique and personalised. If it's a free font though, make sure of the licence felxibility, sometimes they don't like it being used if it's advertising or used in a business.
