Coin boxes and other stuff

OK, here are my second set of silly questions. I would quite like to get an Okito box or similar device. I have read yankee tom's review of these which is certainly helpful. however i was wondering if there were any more views on which of these various devices give the best results, and also if any of these are compatible with modern UK currency. I was initially hoping to try out some of the routines in Bobo if this narrows things down.

Secondly, not being over familiar with the sizes of half dollars/ full dollars etc. I was also looking for advice on what uk currency is best to carry out the numerous sleights/palms described in Bobo. My hands are quite big and although i am reasonably adept at the basic manoeuvres with a 10p or 2p, I can't even begin to imagine how I will be able to carry out the more complex ones (eg showing both sides of hand empty) without using bigger coins. Should I start off with an old penny and work down, or are there just some things that my banana hands are not going to allow me to do?

Cheers

i think its fairly safe to say that a £2 coin is the right size for working with for practice as its around the same size as a old english penny, which is equivilent to a florin which is equal to a half doller, or there abouts.

£2 coins are also very flashy and shiny, most okito boxes in all there flavours state if they are uk sized if not ask the shop.

I'm not a coiny purist so can only recomend scotch and soda / gin and orange and hopping halfs as good stand bys wile you get more proficiant.

practice and then practise some more I'm afraid is the order of the day.

coins are something i intend to get back into when mark wilson's comp course book arrives, my old ones ten years old and dog eared to death.

I use the Dragon okito box, which is very nice to look at. I have never used any other type so I don't know how easy or hard they are but I have no problems with any of the moves with the dragon box and every coin I have tried fits in it.

I'm Not Sure "Penetrating" Is Quite The Right Word

okey dokey i think we better clear something up.
Giro El Ilusionista Malo am i right in asumeing that you writing style is intentionaly contrived and not a language transpositional anomilea??

as i personaly like the style very merlin latin esque, okito boxes to get back on the thread are one of the cornerstones of coin magic i personaly have used elegant wooden versions, ones made of fine porcelin ala pill boxes and modern day copper and plastic versions.
my favourate being a glass set which were totaly clear ala mirror glass, lovely stuff.
