Anyone know where I can get cheap breakaway-glass bottles?

I'm actually gonna try this out...

You wont find much better anywhere and it's nothing - a rigmarole with a few bits of paper and lots of spiel. That is Mentalism

I wouldn't worry about stocking up on too many bottles because the nature of your effect will only allow you to perform it once or twice a year - as you will have to allow for recovery time. But do get yourself some good private health insurance

BREAKAWAY GLASS!?!?!?!?! Why didn't I think about that?
(god my forehead hurts sooo bad, there's broken glass in my dinner and you can't even read the goddamn signature on my head through all the blood)

Check out this thread for fx glass providers...

D'oh Flash.

You were supposed to use a gimmicked forehead!!
Hence signing it in an attempt to prove it wasn't gimmicked...

That way you can do it with a borrowed bottle ;)

With breakaway glass you'd have to borrow a forehead

Hi everyone,

my first post! but hopefully many more to come as I think this is a great forum.
I took a look at the video and was impressed so I bought the trick but; and hopefully Tommy you could help me here I seem to be having trouble seeing the instructional video. I left a message with Kevin Parker Products but as yet no reply.

I have the compatible windows media, but I damned if I can find it anywhere,(probably me not doing something right), what do you think?

Hello sorenotes,

Weclome to the Talkmagic forum!

I understand you're having issues playing your instructional video of Passing Thru. Unfortunately I do not know what error message you are receiving (if any) in order to help you properly; nonetheless, I will try.

My guess would be if you were able to watch the demo video then you should - as you have stated - have the appropriate media player already.

I will shoot you a PM and see if I can help!

Flash and EckoZero I think your going to have to put your foreheads together and iron out the minor hiccups of your effect. I strongly urge you not to perform this trick anymore until you do this.

And please be aware that some of the statements you have made regarding the forehead through the glass effect are bordering exposure!

Good plan. Flash, I'll have a chat with you about this effect in A+E whilst we're having stitches put in :D

Just downloaded this this morning and I'm very impressed. Yeah it's simple but so what? It's ingenious and that's what counts. I've been practising in front of the mirror and I'm tempted to try it out on my sister in a minute but I haven't got any glass bottles to try it with, only plastic ones. It still looks ok but I want to make sure everything's perfect rather than ruin the effect in my excitement! Having said that I do have a jar handy, hmmm....

Just a quick question for those who have downloaded this..
(I did email Kevin but that was over a month ago and no reply yet)..

Anyway.. does anyone know if I download the effect (obviously after paying) can I transfer the video to another PC to watch it or can I 9as Kevin seems to suggest) only play it on the PC I downloaded it to ?

The reason I ask is that at home I have dial up (no broadband I'm afraid) and so can't download it there.. however I do have broadband at work and could use this to download it but obviously only being able to play it on PC at work is no good (especially if I ever leave my job).

Any Ideas would be appreciated as this concern is all that's stopping me buying it.

Thanks

Slippery

Dont these pay to download things usually have a security system on it so that you cannot send it to another medium?
