Stigmata

Postby Beardy » May 8th, '06, 16:30

I have tried my hardest to get a video of this - it is the best I can do with only one perseon and one camera :P

Enjoy!

(This is mainly for those who haven't actually seen the effect - believe me, it is better live ;))

edit:removed it now - i see what you guys mean ;)

Can i ask though, can it be done with any card or any initials larry? I really want to get this as it looksgreat. The only thing is, if you have to force a card or initials then it's sort of like ash on arm.

You have to force.

you dont have to force the name - that would be a tad hard :P

"think of a name, as long as ityhas three letters, starts with a "t", ends in "m", and has an "o" in the middle" may be a tad obvious :P

You can do a letter, a number, whatever you want and you do not have to force. Just a little bit of misdirection is needed.

I think ellusionist is the only place. There is lots of info on what other things you could get that are better value, in the review thread.

I think I've said before, but:

1. Ellusionist will only allow DVD/Video distro through REAL bricks and mortar shops, web shops can't carry Ellusionist DVD effects

2. The effect is basically described on Banacheks' PSI series, which if you're into mentalism, is a much better purchase

3. People slag these type of effect of as unusable, but you MUST bear in mind that if you're a close-up worker, it's your own performance that counts—and NOT the reactions of your mates/family

Bloomin eck!

As soon as I saw the 7 of Diamonds appear I knew how it was done. 2 minutes later my arm sported a "stigmata" as well. Half an hour after that it came back to me that as a kid I used to do something similar to create false temporary scars on my arm.

No wonder Ellusionist didn't show the actual stigmata in the preview.
