I wouldn't buy it aswell. What you need when you first start learning is the book/DVD of Royal Road To Card Magic. It is a cardinians 'bible'

Just thought this might help.

Speaking of card to mouth, I learnt my version off of Martins Sanderson's (I think thats how its spelt) Corporate Close up. Having real trouble making the one handed break for one card. Anyone know of this version that can help?

Regards,

A

Born to Perform is not a card magic 'bible' at all, but it is pretty good for a beginner. It is also pretty cheap compared to the RRTCM DVD's. RRTCM (book) is pretty good IMHO but I can't say I enjoy reading it. Actually I don't think I could say that I liked RRTCM, but it contains information which is useful to me - I suppose it's a 'necessary evil' for me. In my opinion a magic book should have some entertainment value as well, but I guess with RRTCM it's more of a manual so gets out of this...
