but if it doesn't have a DVD R logo on it then it won't play them?

If there are various logos on the front and there isn't one proclaiming its DVD+R, DVD-R, DVD+RW, DVD-ROM etc. compatibility then it probably won't manage them. If there aren't any logos then you don't know either way (unless it plays on your computer anyway in which case it's the DVD player).

I think

OK thread locked.

Do we really have to caution about making unsubstantiated comments on TM? If anyone has issues with items bought from a supplier then the first port of call is to that supplier and not by posting here and asking about the legality or otherwise of making copies.

Magictricks.co.uk are a well established long standing supplier of excellent repute and until all avenues of contact with them have been tried and failed, we don't want to generate a thread about copies, legalities or other insinuations. It is far too easy to make such statements and then find they have adverse effects on the suppliers' reputation and business.

For the sake of good order, I would hope that lindz and everyone else will refrain from further public comment until such time as the situation is resolved with the supplier and then perhaps someone could let us know the outcome, if appropriate. Until then, no more knocking suppliers like this - please.

As there seems to be a reassuring result, thread unlocked for lindz to update us on things. Please leave this thread open for him to post - no need to carry on with the side issues!

Quite annoyed resolved

Postby lindz » Sep 6th, '06, 16:27

Magictricks.co.uk have contacted me today about a thread I posted yesterday concerning the disks not working properly. They have said the disks come directly from Jay so they have no way of knowing about the disks. Also they have offered me a full refund on the items. I must say I didn't mean the thread to come out the way it did yesterday I was just annoyed and I now realise magictricks.co.uk were not responsible for the problem with the disks because they had no way of knowing as they were sealed and I am going to gladly spend the refund in there shop. As I say though I do think they are a good shop and I have never had a problem with them before yesterday. The disks on the other hand did not work on my playstation my pc or on 5 dvd players I do not know why this is but it has nothing to do with magictricks.co.uk
