Doesn't that mean the 100% plastic cards are much better, as they more flexible and more durable by quite a lot?

Certainly more durable but perhaps less flexible or suitable for magic. It all down to personal choice and USPCC do make all plastic cards so they cater for a wide range of preferences.

Your choice of whatever card to use is down to:

1. Cosmetic preference
2. The actual purpose of the cards (sleights, flourishes, manipulations)

and most importantly
3. Subjective preference when handling

Everyone is different... some people love brand spanking new cards, others (myself included) love a more aged deck.

It takes a lot of trial and error to find the right cards for you, but generally most people will agree that choosing Bicycle 808 cards is a good way to go for the simple reason they're cheap and easy to obtain.

As you progress, you will realise the advantages other decks may have... i.e. stiffer pasteboard stock, different finish, durability etc.

The only advice here really is to suck it and see, so to speak :O

Actually, Seige, your comments reminded me of something:
Have you guys noticed a difference between the red bikes and the blue bikes (apart from the colour)?
I feel like the red ones are naturally more souple that the blue ones?
I feel like they bend nicer and i prefer the feel of them...
how about you? Is that just me?
