Last year, I had a wisdom + adjacent tooth taken out. The complication was, the ROOT of the adjacent tooth was inside my nasal cavity... after extraction, the dentist noticed there was broken root in the cavity...
So after 10 mins of digging around, plus pain, plus blood, he finally freed and removed the dud root.
However, there was a hole left—a 'communication'—between my jaw and the inside of my mouth, and my sinus. Literally, when I swilled my mouth with water—it shot up into my nose.
When eating or drinking, I could feel and hear air rushing through the hole. Very unpleasant.
This went on for about 3 weeks, more pain, bruising, bleeding and infection.
Finally, I had to have the empty socket stitched, and a huge dose of antibiotics.
And now, all is well. I think.
But there you go, that's my horror story
