Struggling with an effect? Any tips (without giving too much away!) you'd like to share?

I run my thumb nail along the flap "slicing the seal". I dont see the point in taking the sticker of unless you need it to make a gimmick or something.

Also check out superhandz.com on there forums these many a cool way to open a sealed deck.

I am master of misdirection, look over there.

We are not falling out young Welshy, we are debating, I think farlsy is an idiot he thinks I am one. We are just talking about who is the bigger idiot.

That's a great deal.

I've just realised that Magic Tricks threw in a free £4.99 IT reel too. Hurrah!

I use my thumb nail and cut it open, leave the sticker on. I identify all my decks by what shape the sticker is, normal, stacked, gaffed, i/d all have different shaped stickers on.

And let's not forget, ladies and germs, that regular USPCC Bikes have a blue sticker while their lovely Stripper decks have a white one.

There is a much easier method which doesn't resort to the use of any kind of fluids etc. to get rid of the left over glue. Simply peel off the sticker as you would usually, frown disdainfully at the remaining sticky patch, take the seal and repeatedly press it against the area (sticky side down) and remove it in a quick motion, kind of like dabbing the card case with the seal. This will remove the remaining glue.

I dont see why anyone would go through the trouble of removing the seal when you could just leave it on!! :?

A very surefireway to remove the label, as-per Mandrakes suggestion is to warm the card box up—either next to a radiator (yeah, it's winter!) or just the warmth of your body.

Carefully coax a corner of the sticker up with a blade, and SLOWLY and I mean SLOWLY pull the label off. Don't let it 'fold' or get so it peels BACK on itself, i.e. don't cause an angle... this will crinkly the label.

Using this method, the label should come off clean, leaving little or NO residue on the box.

I STRONGLY don't recommend thinners, alcohols or rubbing as the ink on the labels is oil-based and will come off easily.

It's a patience thing, much akin to stripping cards!

You know, opening a pack of cards is like making love to a beautiful woman ...

Before I got my stripper (deck) which has no sticker, I used to leave the label on, having cut it. In order to stop the sticky bit over the thumb gap, I'd put a section of Rizzla Silver (the really really thin ones) over it.

Now, I get rid of the whole lot.
