What do you keep all your Decks etc in?

Postby dizzydog » Jan 26th, '07, 03:22

Im starting to misplace stuff all over the house, my main "drawer" is now full, mostly diff Gaffed decks and trick decks and some gimmicks etc.

Im thinking about a Briefcase of some sort?

Ideas? I only do cards and coins.

I am a proud owner of a nice ladies make up bag!!!!! I find them fantastic for my magic stuff. There are plenty of pockets all over it and it folds out into one long piece. I would recommend this to anyone. There are clear pockets mesh pockets and even pockets for pens (make up pens)!!!

It does not look too gay either!!! But hey, my magic gear is too important to worry about that!!!!

I bought it in a cheapo shop so I could not tell you where to get one. Just keep a look around for them!!

Two shoe boxes and the ammunition case Medal of Honour - Rising Sun came in. Actually, one shoe box has decks, the other has all the other detritus. Plus there's about 2 foot of magic books and about the same again on psychology.

I have a nice box with a lid that all my magic stuff goes in. In there is a shoe box with all my cards in. Another box contains silks, pens, bands, etc.

I keep all my close up and walk around gear in a black padded camera case, from Jessops. It cost £30 I believe, and came with the sponge blocks for inside and dividers, as well as document pockets at the top. When im home Ill take a picture of it so you can see just how much rubbish I cart around with me!!!!

no fancy boxes or cases for me, mine just live in my pockets or bag. At home I've got a shoe box with everything in.

Well, this may sound stupid, but I have mine in old videocasette boxes on my bookshelf in my office... the cases let me categorise.

For regular decks, I just keep them on tables, desks etc. in fact, usually all over the house.

BTW... i've found a nice and simple way to label my regular decks to stop them getting confused with gaffs... I just peel off the 'seal' and stick it over the BOTTOM of the case. When a deck has been used for destructive effects, such as signed cards or torn effects, I just rip the seal so I know it's a 'part' deck.

I keep my stuff in a big plastic tool box and my decks go in some small wooden boxes that I found cheap in a bargain store, perfect fit.
