Revenge isn't a good option... as it shows you still care.

The silent treatment works wonders. Been there, had that.

Failing that, speading a rumour he was a cross-dresser and used to eat his toenails will ease your pain slightly.

Viral marketing, can't beat it ;)

Yes indeed! Revenge is sweet and revenge is a dish best served cold, ergo, revenge is a cheesecake.

I'm feeling somewhat green this morning because I got to the pub early with my last brand new stripper deck to have a fiddle with a new technique for moving blocks off the bottom while waiting for the league quiz to start. Guess who put his lovely crisp new pasteboards down in an unseen pool of beer and ended up with a warped, soggy deck

And in pink and fluffy news, we won the match hands down and are through to the final! Hurrah! We're in the silverware no matter what!

In my experience, the anticipation of revenge is much worse than revenge itself (much like death). I tend to not act. This has knock on effect of causing sickly panic and prevents any escalation in counter revenge.

nah, a nice little piece of revenge, done so that he doesn't know it was you works best.

A friend once hid an open pot of jam in her ex's garden in the summer knowing that he had a phobia of wasps. Little things like that are brilliant.

Putting cod's row or frozen prawns in the air intake below the car windscreen in summer is another favourite.

No Revenge takes effort, which shows whatever it is has bothered you.

When my wife is angry, she ignores me.. sometimes for a few days.. even when Im right ( which by the way i always am!! ) I just dont like the silent treatment.. it makes my blood boil..!!

Ill do one of two things.. start an argument and say something I regret and then have to apologise.. thus putting me in the wrong.. OR I will just apologise for whatever it is that I havent done.. just to end the bloody silence!!

I've said it before, and I'll say it again: the most unexpected thing you can do in an argument is simply to apologise as if you mean it and you're very sorry. Completely roll over. The effect on the other person is quite astonishing. They suddenly deflate.

If they keep attacking you, however...

I know this too well.. but when it gets to the point where sorry is no longer good enough and they suddenly want explanations for why you did what you did.. but your not quite sure what that could possibly be.. and you know you cant let on you dont know what you did wrong as a woman will take that as you not loving them enough to know what you did was wrong.. and they would still want to know why but wouldnt just come out and tell you what you did as apparantly you should already know.. but you seriously havent got a clue as 10 minutes ago everything was fine and nothing has happened during that 10 minutes that could possibly have swayed emotions this way.. but that seems to have occured and now your one defence of sorry has failed and now you have to explain in detail your reasons behind doing wrong and why it was wrong and re-assure her that it wont happen again and prove it although words arent good enough and you still dont know what this is all about...

WHAT THE HELL THEN??? :?

i love arguments with girlfriends...i've always kept it simple, keep to the facts, state your piece, then completely turn the tables on them and start acting really maudlin and upset...asking to be left alone and just say "im just really upset and feel totally misunderstood by you..." (you can then go off and watch a lovely dvd and have a beer)

women hate to be told that they dont understand feelings...excellent...and if they say "its you that doesnt understand me..."

you can then simply just go through all the facts again, stating that you did infact ask what was wrong at the start and she said nothing...and you felt "really rejected by you when you wouldnt open up to me..."

absolute bunkum, but play 'em at their own game i say...

and the best revenge is just to completely let go and forget all about them and all involved, and get move on and enjoy yourself again...you could top it off by sending them a piece of paper saying "you're dead to me"...

Happy days for me nice sunny weather here in Epsom surrey every one seem to be happier in the sun. If it stays sunny all week I am going to sit in the garden with a nice cold drink music on and relax then read a book.

At about 11pm last night I tried to use our trusty 15 year old microwave - set the power level and the timer, pushed the start button and....zilch, nada, nowt. Totally knack, er, broken. OK no big deal, they're cheap enough these days. Tonight I went for a shower, set the temperature and the power level and....zilch, nada, nowt. Apart from freeezing cold water. Took the unit apart and it's also knack, er, broken. Mrs.M insists that such 'bad luck' goes in threes so I may have to stay in bed all weekend to avoid encountering whatever the third disaster might be  !
