I got in touch with computeach this morning as have an appointment in a week or so.

Im gonna study web design as I self taught myself HTML, XHTML, and had started to studu CSS just over a year aqnd a half ago..

pick up where I left off get some qualifications in this area and get out this s*hole!!

Your right.. i might be clearing £4k a month but its so not worth being treated like a kid..

Never been late.. over half an hour early EVERY day.. always felxible.. come in to wrk when im sick.. consistently in top three performance wise..

and now they put me in this position.. oh.. and they have banned me from the pool room.. my one retreat!!

Hey if you get sacked monday you dont have to worry about the pool room. Pink and fluffy or what!

Sounds like a case for a constructive dismissal tribunal. Get yourself down the Citizen's Advice Bureau and see if you're in line for some wonga.

Yeh a course in Web design.. that should be good.. and then I can get a PROPER JOB!!

I used to use w3schools a fair bit too, that and brainjar for dhtml or php.net for server side stuff.
went more into flash after that so was more into actionscript.org a great site if you are into flash programming and linking with php.
OK, now I am ready for my flaming from the html purists.

Flash sites make me green and slimey

It's not so much being HTML-pure, but flash is a visual thing which can't really be resolved by the W3C, and can't make pages 100% accessible without extra help.

HTML is always the bottom line, whatever construct language you're using. HTML and CSS will ALWAYS be the final output method, as that's the language your web browser talks in.

Get a good knowledge of HTML, and you're laughing. Oh, and a little artistic talent is needed to become a 'designer'... non-artistic webbies are know in our trade as 'web developers', 'web techies', 'backend coders' or 'web coders'.

No offense to yourself ID but your work place sounds like a primary school. With all the pickering and getting barred from the pool room.

They'll be stealing your lunch money next

Lets not forget I.D should be working and not looking at webites. So therefore i dont see it as a bad place to work.
