I've worked many such facilities over the years (when I was still a magician) and for the most part you needn't change a thing, just do a good act and USE THE GALS as best you can.

It really centers on a couple of things; your personality and your ability to connect with the group you are working. I've leaned towards a Benny Hill type image in a few dates of this sort but in my younger (less chubby) days I could pull of the more sophisticated "Leading Man" type (think Carey Grant or Dean Martin)... both work but they work differently. You still need to know how to be just "blue" enough to be fun and not vulgar or tasteless (sorry, but such acts are one of the biggest things that ruined magic years ago).

If things click and you find yourself able to add in Illusions, even simple pieces such as we find with Andrew Mayne, USE THEM! But do so with the girls.

I wrote a bit for my old chum Dean Hankey and his Hankey Pankey show years ago in which he did a Thurston styled Stretching to the tune of Bette M idler's "Otto Titsling" (from the film BEACHES) The idea was to modify the cabinet with two extra holes at chest level... but..

The big thing I love doing in this sort of venue is take on the role of corny MC while letter the guys/gals get the kudos for doing the larger scaled magic in most instances. It's easy to choreograph routines for the dancer around large effects so that your presentation becomes "sexier". One of my favorite bits was a young lady we had doing a Fan Dance to "Let's Fall in Love", which lead into an old fashioned AGA levitation... I've done it with an Asrah and once the girl was up over my head I'd use a pair of shears to snip away, causing her dress to fall down, then her under garments... I'd then ask how much the audience (all men) would pay me to pull off the covering...

The Old Sword Basket routine is great if you produce a nice big snake prior to returning the girl... who then dances with the snake and swords as part of her encore.

These are just a few of the routines I've done in the past, I'm confident you can visualize other possibilities but your best bet is to look at pieces that appeal to you as well as one or two of the girls so you get the benefit of having them surrounding you... it worked for old man Blackstone y'know...

oh thanks for the huge replys guys, i am considering doing the card cheat act which i tend to do alot anyway!! i too feel this would work better now but what i shall do is add a touch of comedy to it!! sort of like a bill malone thing!

There's bound to be a no touching policy, so PK touches would be quite interesting

Definately the card cheat route is the way to go then.

Ah. In that case, only approach tables that have seen the girls in action, not before! You don;t want to get in the way of a testosterone rush!

The effect that came to mind was that clip of that female magician who got her kit off whilst vanishing a silk. That would be one way of including the girls in the show!

I remember Derren Brown doing this in Spearmint Rhino, i think it was in one of his early shows.

That worked really well and the 3 girls were stunned!

Here here Mr wand. How about an OOTW type of effect but with b/w pics of the foxy lasses of yesteryear. Monroe and earlier. Maybe even a deck of cards of that ilk?

I wonder if there's a Bettie Page deck. If so, I'll take a dozen!

How about 21st century bra? Theres also a ladies pants version i believe as well. I do remember months ago a racy magic book being released but i believe it was limited edition. I cant remember any more details about it
