The nice thing with learning books, over hunting down a particular trick is that you'll also learn a wide range of sleights and techniques. There's are all very important, they allow you to adapt and modify effects as well as develop your own.

I've got plenty of sleights that I don't often use but I always practice them because there are times when you need to do something different and a rarely used sleight might be the best way to do it.
