Most of the X-Factor rejects have more talent than those two...

Aaahh...Mr Joseph Strummer! Now we are talking. I count myself extremely lucky to have seen the man perform live at Glastonbury before his premature departure. It was quite fun seeing all these 30, 40 and 50 year old men battling with themselves, then letting themselves go and throwing themselves into the mosh pit.
Having said that, Mick Jones from the Clash produced the Libertines albums. He has actually performed on stage with them (you will probably find a clip on youtube).

I should imagine the LIbertines were hoping some of his talent would rub off on them. It didn't.

The other awful indie group that used to irriate the hell out of me was tedious taffy's The Stereophonics with their smug little "singer" rasping away tunelessly.

Luckily, you don't hear them much these days on the old wireless.
The irony was that every time I heard their "song", 'Have A Nice Day', it ruined my day!

Couldnt stand The Clash either!

My record collection goes from the 50s, then leapfrogs from around 1976 to 1988ish...it was a musical wasteland for me..

apart from the Smiths and a few others..meh...

I watched Saxondale last night on bbc2, there was a suicidal Nick Drake reference that it ironically depresses me not that many people got.. :)
