Pet Hates

Postby Mikey.666 » Aug 3rd, '07, 21:42

Decided to start a thread were people can let a little steam loose by telling everybody their pet/current hates.

At the moment I hate a number of things.

The term "Political Correctness" is very annoying. When exams are published and they have names like Rhajjnephadhul. What the hell is that! I don't speak Pakistani!

9 year old wonder boy signed up to Man U. Woo hoo go him...really...who cares about some 9 year old Beckham or whatever.

Arragont people are also a pet hate of mine and the USA attitude is annoying.

Like room 101!

Ok, mine are:

1. The fact that Jennifer Love Hewitt has never won the World's most beautiful woman awards when she clearly is

2. The fact that Jennifer Love Hewitt is not dating me

3. People who say 'like' when they mean 'said' for example. 'i was like my name is Stephen'

4 Shop assistants who chat to their mates rather than serve me when i am in a hurry.

5 My GPS system in my car that never works properly when i am trying to get to a gig!

6 Driving 10 miles up the road and suddenly remembering i have forgotten to pack my sharpies

7 Richard and Judy - what are they for?

8 People that wave their arms about when on a 200 foot roller coaster and smack me right in the face

9 Shops that charge about £1.50 for a small bottle of coke

I could go on and on

Meaningless 1 line posts.

My car.

Having to pay for alcohol.

My car

Plastic packaging you need a chainsaw to open.

Being told to recycle plastic when there isn't anywhere which will take plastic.

Sunny weather during school holidays. I work 15 hour night shifts. It should p*ss down all holidays so the kids don't spend all there time screaming outside.

My car.

Traffic wardens.

Cafes that haven't got workmen eating in them. You are bound to pay 5 times as much for 1/4 the amount of food which will be tasteless aqnyway. Always look for a workers/truckers cafe. 4lbs of grease and cholestorel for about £2.50, with a MUG, not a poxy dolls cup, of tea.

Ah now you see one of my pet hates are people who use the idea of political correctness and their dislike of it to be openly racist. In fact that's not so much a pet hate but a genuine hate.

Pet Peeves?

Postby Amanda Angeli » Aug 3rd, '07, 23:16

Goodness,

All you lads are talking about Pet Peeves? Silly me. When I read about the Pet Hats, I was immediatly thinking of a cute little watchman's cap for my bulldog.

Oh, and as for the World Series, that because nobody else can play while scarfing down hotdogs and warm beer. Now that's where the art comes in.

Love,

Amanda Angeli

If your referring to me being racist, you are very wrong. I hate racism just as much as the next person. But when your in a Maths exam, and I see names like that, which I can just about pronounce, I get ticked off. It's England, use English names.

I've been to America many times, so don't get me wrong, a lot of Americans are nice people, but a lot of them think they're btter then the rest of the world, and they have a tool for a President.

I'll agree with Richard and Judy and the American words like soccer. And then I'll join them together to have Richard and Judy talking about David Beckham and calling football soccer.

My dad getting grumpy because I wanted to tumble dry my clothes rather than put them out on the washing line (energy saving and all that) and then for me to walk in after work one night and seeing him sitting on the phone in front of the computer which was just left on. And proably had been for hours with no one using it.

Deal or No Deal. Everybody clapping when someone leaves with £50 because they didn't take a deal for £20,000 earlier on. They lost! Don't applaud them.

I'd better calm down, I could probably go on for hours.

Mikey and Chris have already his the nail on the head with two pet hates of mine: political correctness (especially middle-class white liberals who think they have a right to be the great white spokesman for a whole race) and chavvy Brits who call films 'movies', say 'like' every other bleedin' word and worst of all "It was like...oh my god!". It just says to me that these morons watch far too much low-brow US tv shows and films. I blame Sky for this.
How come all common people live on benefits in a council house but can afford to have a monstrous Sky dish attached to the side of it, the latest plasma screen tv and brand new Nike sportswear for their baseball cap wearing oikish ASBO kids. I'm paying for this scum out of my good honest taxes.

I also hate precocious, obnoxious people whose parents have blown them up to believe they are the greatest thing to walk the earth - and they believe it - and incessantly tell the rest of the world how great they are.

I also despise arrogant magic dealers who sell third-rate effects that wouldn't even fool Jade Goody and lie about their customers to make themselves look good. Bad business and not a case of Customer Care, more Customer? Couldn't Care Less!
Dealers that are so ashamed when their tawdry goods are exposed, they refuse to even talk to a customer on the phone as they didn't like one of the items they bought. There are a lot of magic dealers out there and some very good ones. I hope the ones like this go out of business.
