i already have a suitably magnificent moustache i'll have you know..and used to have a giant jason king poster in my hallway..but i can admit it is rubbish on lots of levels...

"you want me to fight? In this suit? How dare you..." a three thousand year old man with skin like an armchair and hair-sprayed bouffant, do not an international agent make...it was obviously written by a lonely old middle-aged man who had never had a girlfriend...

why does mondo cane make me wanna say Ratfink and Booboo? probably hugely wrong there...and the smut peddler?

no, no, and thrice no...i know a few people who deliberately say "i dont like the simpsons because of x, y or even z"...because it's anti-trendy and therefore tries to give them an element of "cool" and anti-establishment...and then if you say "ah do you remember when homer said this or that.." and they all say yeah and quote it verbatim...

How comes when people talk about these classic films they seldom ever mention "Harvey" with James Stewart in?

Jason King the chap who played him was an odd fellow if you belive the strories. Wasnt Hogan of Heros fame of the same Ilk?

I am master of misdirection, look over there.

We are not falling out young Welshy, we are debating, I think farlsy is an idiot he thinks I am one. We are just talking about who is the bigger idiot.

I thought Miracle Mile was the greatest movie ever made.

But I'm odd like that.

Still a big fan of Blade Runner though! :)

Mondo Cane are the weirdest documentaries you'll, from the early Sixties, by two very eccentric Italian directors.

Jason King... I have an anecdote regarding Peter Wyngarde, if we ever meet at a TM get together I'll tell you.
Have you heard his album? You won't believe your ears!

Ahh, I love Harvey... such a great movie. It is one of my favorites.

Its hard for me to choose a best movie ever... as I have seen over 1110 films. I can do top 10 and such, and break them down in to genre, but to pick a top movie over all... thats just real hard for me.
And then you have to decide if you want to compare new movies to the classics. As many of the classics dont always seem to fit in now and days. Horror is a good example.. what was scary back then, is generally "funny" or stupid now. I love the classic horrors with Lon Cheney Jr. Boris Carlof, and Bela Legousi. (spelling is bad). Or even the Original "Night of the Living Dead". That rarelly scares people today.. but when it first came out it gave nightmares to tons of people.
I really cant see one rating them on the same basis. We would have to rate them as they were back then.

I was raised with many of the classics- The old musicials and black and white films. Katherine Hepburn, Huphry Bogart, Jimmy Stewert, Carry Grant, Audry Hepburn, Bing Crosby, Bob Hope, Elizabeth Taylor....

Movies- Thin Man Series, North By NorthWest, Taming of the Shrew, Harvey, My Girl Friday, Some Like It Hot...

Look heres a list of most of the films and tv shows I have seen:

Peter Wyngarde also played Ming the merciless' right hand man in the 80s Flash Gordon remake didnt he...

i've heard a couple of tracks i think, many years ago...i also remember Jon Bird releasing two albums, as Idi Amin...

and of course, the shatner and nimoy ones too...i dread to think of what the Peter Wyngarde rumours are...i can guess though...

i like the specifics of "i've seen over 1110 films", have you kept a list? what's number 987?

Yes I provided a list. ITs in the link. Its right there bottom of my post.
I have been rating every movie I have seen since I was five. There are some I have yet to rate because I cant find the movie on IMDB- even if I can remember the plot and stories, I just cant seem to find the title.

I plan on writing full reviews for about 1/4 of them.

So yes, every movie that I have listed I have seen at least once.
I have a very good memory when it comes to movies. Thats one thing I am known for, besides my magic.

What was the name of Ming's daughter in the remake? By George, she was a cracker.

The album is shocking. Even in the early 70's eyebrows were raised.
He narrates over the music rather than sings and the lyrics are his own.
With tracks like 'Rape' and 'The Hippie and the Skinhead' you can start to get an idea as to what the album is like, but no even anyones wildest dreams (other than Wyngarde's) could produce such a mind-blowingly bizarre album as this.

He should have teamed up with Zappa!

Well, I've just received this this morning. Play sent me the tin edition at no extra cost (which saved me a fiver!), so that was nice. I almost salivated on the Jiffy envelope as I was tearing it open - but I was careful not to use a knife, so no chance of accidentally stabbing myself, you'll be pleased to hear.

And what a superb package it is. Quality. Can't wait to sit down and watch through this film all over again. Then I'll start on the nine-odd hours of extras.

My life is complete. :D
