Struggling with an effect? Any tips (without giving too much away!) you'd like to share?

Preparation: Fill glass bottle to within 1/4 " from top with water.
Outside, over grass, slap bottle opening hard with palm.
Bottom falls out perfectly! (really)
dry bottle, use rubber cement. tada!

I think that's exactly what Farlsborough didn't want to do.

Good grief I nearly got expelled from university for something very similar. It nearly put all the windows out.

If you would like the method to this dangerous 'illusion' then you're welcome to it.

I call it, erm, 'exploding bottle'.

http://store.jameslclark.com/ has it for $100.00. The preparation is NO3 I think. That's a chemical formula, not the number 3. Wet it is safe, but once dry, it's an explosive that is set off by touch, hence they always drop something in the bottle to shake and hit against the prepared side.
