Thank you very much for your kind words Keith and I hope you enjoy performing it half as much as we enjoyed researching and designing it!

I was fortunate enough to receive mine here in London last Thursday. It really is good and well worth the wait.

The book itself is aged beautifully. Rick seems to have got this down to an art form nowadays and it can easily be presented and taken as genuine. There's plenty of scope for personalising aspects of it too with some seriously good thoughts on the dedicated Outlaw forum.

The method is extremely clever, sneaky and easy to master with the memory work required taking about (for me) an hour to get straight enough to feel confident for a try out on my long suffering other half. The resulting effect (most importantly) was/is fantastic.

It could be played as simply as a book test curiosity with the spec selecting an inmate and you being able to give details according to whatever claimed means suits, but that really doesn't do it the justice it deserves.

It is described in the accompanying notes as an emotional transfer, and that's where it's true power lies. Once the selection is made, it is getting the spec to relate directly to how their chosen inmate felt that gives this it's depth and impact. That these are inmates of a mental home mean that it's the darker side of life that are to be experienced - fear, sadness, loneliness, rage, etc - so this probably isn't an effect for Great Aunt Edna's 90th Birthday party, but with the right scripting and presentation in the right setting I know it's gonna be stunning.

Rick and the good Dr really have done it again. Great stuff!

Having been promised a fortnight ago global priority delivery, it is with a heavy heart I must say I am still waiting.
Outlaw have released two further products since luna became available and yet I am still left somewhere over the atlantic.
Perhaps they are taking on too much I just dont know.
I am starting to think my money would have been better spent elsewhere.
Sometimes the wait just isnt worth it.

It must be galling to read about other people getting theirs so long ago (nearly three weeks in one case), and still be waiting for yours. My copy hasn't suddenly turned up, by the way, but having ordered from Bob Cassidy, I have mastered the art of resignation!

Luna was going through a second run and then a long delay at the binders. They are shipping again after a 3 week lull.

Anyone in the U.K. waiting please PM me your name and I'll expedite the situation asap.

Rick

I think a wait of nearly two months would test anyones patience. Perhaps we should start a thread to see which manufacturer promises the most and delivers the least. Actually thats got me thinking, what is the longest anyone has ever had to wait before ?

Hi Storm - I am not affiliated with Outlaw in anyway, but I do know they get very few complaints about service or indeed about their products in general.

I can see why you are frustrated, but re-reading through this thread you are the only one unlucky enough to have had problems with delivery. I ask you to please be careful about publicly judging and condeming the sender too quickly. Anything being posted anywhere, let alone from the US to the UK could be subject to any number of possible reasons for loss or delay.

Hopefully Rick is looking into this with you and hopefully the matter will be resolved.

As I said above, I also hadn't received my copy of Luna, and I still haven't, as of today.

I have to agree entirely with this. I have recently had a number of issues with people I've ordered things from. It's been a range of things from apparently outright lying (not a magic dealer, incidentally), through parcels taking much longer than they should to despatch, to couriers who didn't actually ring the bell, to incorrect items being sent (or simply not included at all).

This is all within the last two months and, in fact, almost no order I have placed has gone entirely smoothly. However, only one of them seems to be down to a genuinely dishonest business, and even that could (just about) be down to a combination of errors.

Yeah, waiting so long (especially for such a great tool) is very frustrating.

I can only say that I had a similar experience with the Witches Almanac. It turned out however that it'd been sent but some damn postal troll must've eaten/stolen it as it never got to me. The moment Rick became aware that I hadn't received it he posted another staight out to me immediately.

Ordering from the States generally is a pain. But I can vouch that when ordering from Outlaw, now knowing Rick's commitment to service diminishes that pain quite considerably.
