Phil deck

Postby Mark Waddington » Dec 13th, '03, 18:36

Imagine this... you have an invisible pack of cards in your hand. You ask a member of the audience to just think of a card and immediatly you name their card.........PHIL!
This alone is enough to get your audience wondering 'what the hell is he doing'
You show that on the back of every card there are different names like Greg, Mona, Sven, Steve, Rick etc, you then ask your spectator to tell you what their card was and low and behold, its Phil!

Skill level:1/5
This trick is extremely easy to do and such an exelent method

Price: £12 to £13 depending on where you buy it from

A must have trick!!!

I have just got hold of this and it is a nice trick and is quite amusing. The fact that it is completely self working allows you to concentrate more on presentation and the routine would certainly lend itself to humorous patter. It would concern me a little that the fact you can only display the names on the top third of the deck could be a little suss, similarly so if you choose to hand out the final "thought of" card. Not sure that the effect's worth 13 quid either but it's quite fun.

The thing is that you dont need to go any than a third down the pa as your audience will loose interest. i agree that £13 is alot for what it is but you will earn it back quicker than you think

Fair enough, but still think handing out the chosen card could be a bit dodge if the spectator was clued up.

Well lets just say that the cards don't feel quite as they should. Maybe I'm just paranoid.... but maybe they DO know....
