If I wasn't allergic to pain, I'd quite fancy the ace of spades from the Ghost deck. Beautiful...

You could have some sort of 'reveal'.

If you can take the pain you can think about something similar to Daniel Garcia's inside the bottom lip tatoo that reveals a chosen card (I think it's '4 ♣') he uses it as a stigmata type reveal after something burning in his mouth.

Don't do it! Okay I have a personal dislike for tatoo's but if you like them go for it. Here is one that has been done to death and the last time I saw it done...well unfortunatly I still have the image burned into my memory and it makes me a little sick. Magician has a spectator pick a card. OMG! the magish can't find it. He starts to sweat. Still can't find it, takes off his jacket, ahh there it is a large 3 of hearts on his shirt. Wait! Still not it? Holy Crow Batman. Sweats some more. He takes of his shirt. Oh thank god our magician has not failed. There tattooed across his chest is the 6 of clubs which happens to be the card. Here is the unfortunate part.

1) Magician was really sweaty.
2) Magician was over weight and not well groomed
3) Magician was hairy (not really a problem unless you are trying to see a tatoo of a card through his chest hair)
4) Magician was a graduate of the renowned Tannen's school of magic.
5) It was at least 10 minutes of my life I'll never get back

a reveal

Postby spudgun » Feb 25th, '08, 18:42

i dont like the idea of a card as a reveal to be honest (and how much of a w***** would i feel taking my shirt off if you are as chubbsome as me). Plus its sort of exposing the fact that their selection wasnt free anyway.
i was thinking of a silouette like this sort off

well, the only advice i can offer is, dont ask us lot to suggest something as personal as a tattoo mate...

go for something you like, that's all that matters eh...

though one of james randi down below might be a nice cheap option...just wait til you go grey...

Yes, you may regret it in years to come, as did the man who had "Leader of the Gang" tatooed on his back in 1975.

What about the twins that had it done one had "Leader of the gang" the other had "lets bang" The second never used a public shower after the first 10 times.

I am master of misdirection, look over there.

We are not falling out young Welshy, we are debating, I think farlsy is an idiot he thinks I am one. We are just talking about who is the bigger idiot.

How about a couple mischievous imps similar to those devils that whisper in Derren Brown's ears on his tour posters? They would be cool. In my opinion, anyway.

Rather than something you can't take off again, what about a piercing and dangling a force card from it?

Mind you, I've actually got a pierced nipple. To say it hurt is something of an understatement to say the very least.
