My bird threw derren out

Postby spudgun » Apr 19th, '08, 20:30

......well im sure she did...are you all sitting comfortably then ill begin. I have an annoying tendency to keep my magic related shenanigans in polly bags in a wooden box at the bottom of the bed. Which the bird doesnt mind as long as i keep it tidy etc....however i was up after a particularly busy back shift a couple of weeks ago and was piddling about watching some clips of the bearded wonder on youtube when i seen an effect called the undertaker trick.....now basically the bloke divedes a pile of photos into two piles and it turns out he has sorted them into whos dead and whos alive. Well kids it was at that moment that i decided to dig out my devils picturebook and have a dig at his streamlined out of this world (which i had been meaning to do for months to be honest).....well long story short i had left it in a bag in the kitchen and not returned to its wooden haven at the bottom of the bed.....and she tossed it........i am absoloutely gutted............i raked through the bins like a bag lady to no avail.

no really if you have it youll know what io mean......i mean you could watch it for just the entertainment

Harsh is an understatement. That is grounds for divorce.

This is so freaky!! I was about to post about that very trick!

I was watching the same Derren Brown show last night with the undertaker who seperates photograps into two piles and they are all either ALIVE or DEAD, and it made me giggle at the end as he's shaking the undertaker's hand he says to him "Thanks, that was... out of this world"

Such a cheeky chappie.

And I perform the red/black card version of that myself. It's a remarkable effect.

Postby spudgun » Apr 19th, '08, 23:07

yeah queeny i saw that too.....the cheeky article......the stream lined version on the devils picture book is really elegant (from what i can remember blub)....if you dont have it its well worth investing in. Its first disc if you could perform it would probably keep you in work as a professional card conjuror for a whole career

That's a serious bummer.

But I think it's time to put it behind you, wipe up your tears, and start thinking of the ways she's going to make it up to you... :D

it would be worth marrying her, just so you could divorce her over it...

it's good ammo for any "cleaning up" argument...you could just say that you're scared to tidy anything away now in case she throws it all out...
