As it is called the specials it is from:

Seance, The system, The heist, Messiah or russian routlette.

So one will be missed out.

Seance and Russian are not on 4OD so will be able to generate more revenue, but would need a higher rating probably an 18 due to guns and seance had the biggest furore and most complaints other than brass eye, so there would be plusses and minuses all round.

Any mentalists want to make predictions?

Its actually listen on his site? The last time I went on it I'm sure the latest update was sometime in 2003.

Channel 4 have given the go-ahead for a new DVD box-set, it will contain four of the previous specials but at this stage no-one knows which four it will be. I'll keep you posted when I know more.

The Heist, The Gathering and Messiah I think will have a good chance of being on it. Or atleast I'd prefer thos three, and the 4th one is just a bonus.

I think a couple of them lose their appeal after being watched once and realising the whole plot, ie. The System. Having said that, i havent seen most of them so id like to see ones that are new to me. If only the world revolved around me.
Heist, Messiah and Russian Roulette are the ones i really want to be on it. As Danneh said, the 4th is a bonus. This way im more likely to get what i wish for.

Yea, but he does something similar in the gathering, although I believe the two missing specials may be seance and russian roulette due to the fact that they were apparantly aired live. But i dunno.

No i meant russian would possibly be an 18 due to the gun, well not the gun particularly but from responsibility of showing people about a fun game by sticking a "loaded2 gun to your head. Seance had the most complaints topped only by the brass eye special on C4.

I get ya, makes more sense now. Your probably right, somone playing around with a gun to their head is bound to set off some nutjobs somewhere.

I think that is why 4od doesn't have it or seance. Personally i think there are far scarier things to censor than that. (a series of unfortunate events - a PG film springs to mind). At least my kids gets that it is not real and just a magic trick (in 4 yr old terms) and that putting a gun to your head would be dangerous and very very silly !.

Wacky World !

Just to correct my first post, the set is out on the 3rd November, not 24th as was previously stated. Most online retailers had it as 24th when i first checked.
Oddly, they're all listing it as being one disc. It could possibly fit, what with each episode being 40mins due to adverts - series boxsets do it all the time, but there'd be no room for extra features.
And it would hardly be a box set, would it?

Alot of sites will leave at is '1 disc' until they acually get here batch I think. Eventually they'll have a picture of it to display with a deffinate release date and list of features.

Yeah, seeing as it is being described as a "box set", I'm sure we can safely say it will have more than one disc.

Amazon is reporting that the Specials DVD will contain the following specials:

- The Heist
- The System
- The Seance
- Russian Roulette

meaning that Messiah has been missed out. Amazon's also dropped its price to £17.98, and it'll be released on 3rd November according to them.
