Very true. I wonder if there'll be any conspiracy theories popping up saying it never happened?

Or, as per Hitchhikers Guide, that it already has and this is the result?

Everyone thinks they're going to die. Except the science guys.

Apparently, William Hill are offering odds of 1000000 - 1 that the world will end as a result of this:

........... the mind boggles ............  .

QUESTION:
If we can sue McDonalds for making us fat and cigarette companies for giving us cancer; why can't we sue Smirnoff for all the ugly gits we've sh*gged ??

If we all die tomorrow morning when it's switched on - then I can see the TM thread going on for ages on this topic :?

Sounds like a giant Scalextric from the way that Tomo explained it - I always loved Scalextric

The news station says "even if a micro black hole is created, It will take four months for it to do anything."
 Great!

Barton: Have you read the Bible, Pete?
Pete: Holy Bible?
Barton: Yeah.
Pete: Yeah, I think so. Anyway, I've heard about it.

Yeah. Now what will the Daily Mail run as their headline in the morning if they can't go for "WE'RE ALL DOOMED!!"? ;)

(But seriously, nice explanation, thanks!)

They were late starting it up.
I gather its going to be runing for 10 years. Thats a lot of electicity being used isnt it.

They should of called the thing deep thought.Because the machine that comes after it, will be bigger, and just as pointless.

the reason these things are built, is so that scientists can prove that something you cant see, exists.
these things, will be found. Like a man staring into a dark room.
if you do it long enough, you see the ghosts.

I've got my fingers crossed that I'll get whipped off to that other dimension where the men actually do something useful with their time and TM is a lovely shade of pink.
