There is ONE course on psychic reading which is the BEST in the business. Mine.

I have been God on these matters for some considerable time.

Still, it's good to know that despite your success you've managed to remain humble. :D

You would think a NOVICE such as yourself would be a bit more humble and learn how to respect those that were doing this work when you were still in diapers

Though Mark and I have butted heads a few times I still respect the man and his YEARS (as in Decades) worth of experience in his particular field... an area of study and vocation we happen to share and other than one or two others on this forum, I believe we share the distinction of being the most seasoned veterans of said craft here. As I said, there are a couple of others who have been applying themselves to actually LEARN the business vs. get a head full to goop from authors WHO'VE NEVER EARNED A LIVING AS A READER such as Rowland and thus, publish a book based on regurgitated theory as well as his own suppositions ALL OF IT rife with disdain and obvious contempt e.g. there is absolutely no sense of fairness to be found within his contribution on this topic or that found in other tomes like TRADECRAFT. That said do understand that I still recommend both books to my students AFTER they've invest a good solid year actually learning to work with legitimate divination systems and recognizing just how accurate they can be without all the trickery, double-speak and supposed Forer & Barnum B.S.

 I'd planned to stay out of this thread, given my low opinion of so-called "debunkers" and cynics. But when I see a child attempting to slam a "Master"... someone that I even give kudos to... it's PIZZEZ ME OFF!

If you really want to learn about being a Reader and the "art" being such, ignore Rowland, Earle and such for now and simply learn three or four genuine divination systems in exactly the manner they were designed to be used. If you feel like you must stick with Magic Industry resources, then pick up ALL of Richard Webster's books on this topic along with those from Ron Martin. This will give anyone a far more fair and honest understanding as to what it is all about over the other materials being talked about herein. Which, as I stated previously, is fine as a course of second year "intermediate" study along side the theories of Sheldon and for that matter (as an advanced step) those of Dr. Hagar & Co. (FACS techniques).

Anywho... feel free to resume to your normal course of conversation; I simply had to vent my utter disgust around this chiild's sense of disrespect and extreme lack of class.

often wonder why people wish to learn cold-reading

You dont have to give readings, but with having the knowledge its very handy when in situations to determine what kind of person you are performing to and you can easily catergorise their reactions to the trick before you perform it, giving you more control.

I also find that with this skill in everyday life its very helpful, it can help you out of confrontational situations if you know wot makes the person tick etc, you can play to their better nature...I can look at most people and I can actually invisage them in my head how they talk, react with peers and wot they like dislike etc, its more a natural abiltiy but one that helps in so many situations...Its definatley worth learning about cold reading or the physcology of the human face as it helps your performance no end......

Well, all of which can be achieved - but i would argue not with cold reading. But psychology certainly and other techniques can be employed. But again, and please correct me if I'm wrong - but cold reading will not really do that good a job.

I would also say, respectfully - that there is no psychology of the human face; but's more how the face portrays emotions rather than anything else.

I must commend you though, as you seem to be saying "I can look at most people and I can actually invisage them in my head how they talk, react with peers and wot they like dislike etc" - and you've studied how many books exactly?

My only suggestion is, that you drop the tricks all together and just do these cold reading techniques instead.

"I see your point Chris about reading all sources of work, however thoguht my experiance I found that of Mr Rowlands work to be a the lower level of the Cold Reading Market, If however you are genuily intersted in this subject I would be more than happy to discuss better further readings via PM as I have studied this subject for years and feel that i can offer you a greater service than Mr Rowland...........

You cannot expect we psychic people to be "diplomatic" about his work when he has written a whole book devoted to debunking us. And debunking with incorrect information. The chap is not psychic and knows nothing about the matter. His book is full of fakery and the example he gives of his reading prowess was awful and yet he preens in the book about how good it was.

No, if you want to know how to be a psychic you must consult with a real one. In other words me. I am the best in the business. Rowland is an admitted fake who has never done a paid reading in his life.
