Swami gimmick; takes a bit of practice, but then you've got a versatile powerful magic tool that you can carry anywhere.
x-pert; I don't know much about this but a whole category has been made on it so it must be good.
P.K ring; Once again, bit of practice, versatile, invisible, can carry it anywhere etc.

Invoke not reason. In the end it is too small a deity.

I've never had a PK ring, what sort of effects can you pull off with it?

Queen of Clubs asked:

Months ago we discussed the "Pandora's Prediction" trinket box used by Michael Vincent and you said you'd ask him about where to obtain the box

I went to Michael's recent lecture in Leicester and he revealed that he has had this box reproduced and that it is going to be sold sometime soon by (I think) Alakazam, along with his routine.

Depends what stuff you do. They say "great for coin magic" but really the main thing it enables you to do is a decent coin in bottle - "Prohibition" is a particularly funky bottle cap through bottle effect which makes me wish I could get away with wearing a ring.

What do you mean? How do people suspect it? I can understand if you're performing for family members or friends, but that's not who I generally perform for :?

ooooooooooooooooh! Get her! Merely jesting. :D

Spend three pounds in WH Smiths, buy some envelopes, consult 13 Steps or similar, and make some gimmicked ones. (d*****-envelopes in fact).

Then mark two out of the three envelopes with a pencil somewhere. Then add your young and no doubt randy mind to what you can now do with those objects.

Then send me the rest of the money.

That honestly wasn't meant to be an insult mate, I just wasn't sure if that was what you meant!

I use my PK ring mostly to stop people's watches. It always knocks 'em for six. And it helps that my PK ring looks almost exactly like my wedding ring. (Not that anyone else apart from my wife would notice).

Is there any risk in that?

Yes.

Most watches will be ok, though.

Any watch that has moving magnetic parts (such as Rolex's...) should definitely be avoided.

However, if for any reason the spec's watch malfunctions after you've performed with it, they're likely to blame you.

Josh.

not much, watch out for the ring and watch back clicking, you'll need to control the gap, looks good though. The old 'thing' in bottle / can / box can look good too.

I use the gold wizard pk ring, I've got big hands and the 23" fits my third finger and matches my wedding band and got it with the putty http://www.talkmagic.co.uk/ftopic28480.php
the ring is well worth the investment and if you have a chat with Costas....

The DVD should be used as a 'jump start' for your own ideas.

No, don't worry - you raise a very good point which I'd not thought of actually. I mostly perform for people other than my friends, so there's nothing to actually stop me wearing a ring when I do perform for strangers - who are they to know what is and isn't "me"?

Just comes down to the fact that I don't really like the way they look (on me); it'd be a bit like me wearing a stupid hat or a cheesy tie for an effect. No one really knows me so it doesn't matter, but still...! I'm not someone who puts on a whole different persona for performance, I'm very much myself albeit slightly cheerier, so to "dress up" would feel wrong.

Plus, I do a reasonable amount of magic to acquaintances, people I may meet/have met once or twice i.e. medic's spring ball etc.

Forgot about the watch stopping... Josh - surely the mechanics of the watch stop require moving magnetic parts...?!
