Good news

Postby Mark Waddington » Jan 13th, '09, 21:00

Hi guys,

Ive had some really good news today!

I admit, ive been keeping something secret for a couple of months now. At the beginning of december, I had to go into hospital for some tests. The results wernt pretty.

The doctors discovered a potentially cancerous lump in my stomach. Needless to say, I was very worried, and as a family we have spent a few weeks wondering what was happening.

I had to go into hospital today, and luckily I was told that the lump they thought was cancerous isnt a risk to me, and doesnt require any surgery. I have to have regular check ups and im on a course of medication now - but things could have been a lot worse!!!

As you can imagine im pretty happy that it isnt something that will affect me :D

Another good thing for 2009!!

Mark

Isn't it wonderful to get great news? I'm so pleased that you're not in a position that it looked as if you could have been. I've had to have surgery myself in the past year and even though it has meant some restriction on what I'm able to do, I appreciate what I do have so much more.
That's the bad thing of 2008 seen to, what wonderful things are going to happen now in 2009?! All the very best to you and your close ones for the coming year.

That really is good news. Glad to hear it's not too bad, Mark.

Let's hope the same proves true for Paul Brook: http://www.talkmagic.co.uk/ftopic25939-45.php

Wonderful news :)

Your reality, sir, is lies and balderdash, and I'm delighted to say that I have no grasp of it whatsoever.

Why does no one do a "I'm glad the lump in your stomach turned out not to be cancerous" card when you need one?! Congrats Mark, and well done for getting through the various unpleasant tests they have to do on stomachs... :?

Sounds daft, but I quite enjoyed having the tests done, due to the heavy state of sedation they put me under!!

Can you get me some of that stuff please Mr Farls :D

Oh, it works. You just have to time it right and it also depends if you like your particular computer monitor...

Barton: Have you read the Bible, Pete?
Pete: Holy Bible?
Barton: Yeah.
Pete: Yeah, I think so. Anyway, I've heard about it.

Good to hear it matey. My Grandad recently had similar news, although they are not completely sure it's gone, but none the less, good news is good news!
