Funny concert experience, at Mayhemfest last summer, I skipped a band on the jager stage to get a good spot up front for 36 Crazyfists, a band whose drummer, at the end of every other song, would toss his sticks into the crowd. On several occasions, sticks had flown over and past my head, and I was determined to catch one. During thier last song, The All Night Lights, some fat kid went crowd surfing, and in my mindless headbanging(I had wiplash by the end of the festival) I didnt notice the guy until the landed on top of me. As he landed on me and I turned to get him off me, the song ended and the sticks flew. One struck me in the back of the head,and hard. I immediatly dropped the guy and did a 180 lunge for the stick only to have it ripped away from me as my hand closed on it. I shot the guy who took it from me a bird and then turned to pick then poor man I dropped onto hard concrete up.
Then that night during Slipkont, some idot threw his beer in the air and into my eye. While my contact hurt like crazy, I carried on as best I could and when the show ended removed my contacts and drove back to the hotel while half blind.
On another occasion I made the unfortunate(read:stupid) decision to SIT DOWN in the pit at a Trivium show. Good fun.
