Looks like typical tabloid trash to me

It's no coincidence that she was interviewed on their new radio station now, is it?

Couldn't agree more. Well, at least it gave you all another excuse to feel superior, especially seeing as the 'let's slag off Jade Goody' thread has been locked.

Sometimes reading these posts is a thoroughly depressing experience.

Sometimes I hate this country, people like this make me feel ashamed to be British.

The sentiments expressed in this thread have a similar effect on me.

Mind you, just goes to show that beneath the veneer of civility we're just spiteful, vicious b******s revelling in the misfortune of others.

Yep, It's called Schadenfreude.

What's it like up there on your pedestal?

I think everyone here so far has had valid points underlying the humour in the thread, the lady in question hardly seems to be prime mother material. If it bothers you that much why read it?

Your choice mate!

how on earth is she "too busy" to cook? She doesn't have a job....

if she can afford takeaways every day, as well as cigarette's, she gets way too much money on the dole...

I'm currently living off of one meal a day at Uni!

Lonely, but if I'm on a pedestal it's because you've put me there, not because I've climbed onto it.

Regarding the rest of your post, I must respectfully disagree.

It bothers me when people ridicule those less fortunate than ourselves, especially based on an article from the Sun. None of us have met this woman. None of us know anything about her background, her level of education, intelligence or emotional maturity.

I don't agree with her behaviour. I think it is short sighted and foolish and will probably lead to health problems for her children later on in life but for all we know she could be doing a sterling job of raising bright, happy, intelligent and emotionally mature children who will go on to make a valid contribution to our society.

Furthermore, how can I know the contents of a thread unless I read it? My initial assumption, based on the title, was that something was being celebrated. Generally I stay out of threads like this one because I find them distasteful. I didn't get involved in the Jade Goody bashing thread, a decision I now regret. It occurs to me that if I don't say something, no one will.

Don't get me wrong, you're all entitled to your opinions, even if they are spiteful and intolerant, but if you spout those opinions you should expect someone to say something about it.

I agree with the top quoted paragraph, It is short sighted and foolish. I won't speak for everybody else but if i come across as spiteful or intolerant it is purely because i don't feel that it should be tolerated!

Parents need to do a good job bringing up their kids, If they don't and allow them to get obese, Have no work ethic, and allow them to feel that they can be a sponge with no consequences then they are harmful to society as a whole. Removing these children from that harmful environment is utilitarianism at work!

Then again i feel the same about parents forcing dogmatic religious beliefs on children,In my opinion it's a form of abuse, but thats a discussion for another day.

if you wish to keep an animal as a pet, you have to own a licence...

and if you mistreat it, starve it, or generally cause harm to it - you get them taken away and are no longer allowed to have them...

yet - anyone can push out a small human being, in the shape of a child...

yes, she deserves some form of negative reaction - for many reasons...
a) she didnt stop after the first child
b) she didnt stop after the first burger
c) she just didn't.....stop!

i could go on, but see it like this - i agree we are ridiculing herr. But with good reason, we cannot believe that a grown human being, no matter how stupid - does not see the damage that they are doing to their own kids.

No sympathy - no understanding - its a basic, normal reaction to something/someone so utterly stupid and lazy. I dont mean fat lazy - i mean mentally lazy. It would be lovely that we could all really care and understand everyone else on such a deep and meaningful level that no form of cruelty would ever be conceived of.

But we can't. Because of human nature. And what she is doing is inexcusable. Especially when fruit and veg is actually cheaper than a mcdonalds.

Personally I have no regrets for my comments. The way I look at it is that I am a British Tax Payer, and I am entitled to say what I want about where MY money is going. I work hard, at least 5 days a week, and most weeks with Magic im putting in 7 days a week, and 22% of what I earn goes into the pot that funds people like this. I dont pay my taxes so that people who are just LAZY can slowly kill their own children by feeding them McDonalds day in, day out.

If I had any control I would make sure my money didnt go to fund anyone like that. Im sure a very high percent of the British Tax payers are with me.

It's interesting to note that a human being, with all its wonder, complexity, and potential, can be made by mistake by two miserable drunks clinging desperately to each other on the coats at a party.

Edited for drunkenness... ironically

I'm a very fat (some would say mildly morbidly obese...) man, and after seeing that photo I'm feeling much better about myself (namely I'm carrying my weight a lot better than I thought...)
What an incentive to lose weight - To avoid looking like... THAT...

(Anyone else have thoughts of the end of Dodgeball and the song "Milkshake" or is it just me?)

If any of you saw the TV interview this morning you'd know that, surprise surprise, The Sun only gave part of the story. The mother claims that the children were being offered small samples occasionally for taste and texture but otherwise are fed 'proper' food includign vegetables and other healthy items. She herself is on a weight loss programme so, once again, you can't believe all the stuff that's printed in the papers!

Liked the posts about people having licences to have children, great idea so we should only breed if aren't poor? What is poor? Where is the cut off point? I know if you're not of true royal blood lets stop ya breading That's a good idea. Next step if you're poor lets round you up and shoot ya then where do we go? :x

No surprise that the Sun spun the story into a sensationalist rant, intended to evoke a high-and-mighty knee-jerk reaction from the rest of us.

It's what the Sun does. It's all the Sun does. And the Mail. And the Express....

As for breeding licenses, I can't think of anything more draconian. When I look at some of history's greatest thinkers, artists and scientists, there's a huge list that came from difficult backgrounds. Yes, their childhoods were an uphill struggle, but the people they became were amazing.
