Did not see that one but it would justify the change to Michael schumacker........I guess this revela happened after the first series which ended around the same sort of time schumacher came otu or pro racing

I believe The Stig has been seen on at least two occasions "unmasked" taking part in a couple of events in the show.

It's not the Well-spoken Man is it?

Edit: Actually, now I come to think of it, could it be the drivers they used in the inaugural motor home racing cup? They were all professional drivers, except for Captain Slow.

Stig was revealed years ago and had his own TV show

Although I may have misunderstood things a little...

I do not know...I watched top gear (all except the first series) like a christian listening to a priest read the bible.

I never remember them seriously un masking the stig...many joke but never any serious ones.

I thought it was pretty obvious from the first moment that Schumacher turned up in the Stig outfit that it wasn't him; he was a completely different build to the "normal" Stig. I'm of the opinion that there was one main Stig and several auxiliary Stigs for situations in which Stig had less experience.

Myprediction is that we will have a different Stig unmasked each episode this series just to cloud the waters a bit!

I believe he was one of the Drivers in the Toyota Yaris giant football game and the driver of the Merc that a parachutist landed in as it drove along the runway.

Mods - Edit if this is exposure!!!!
