The best way I found to get in was to just smile sweetly at Mandrake and when that doens't work a good kick in the shins will. :D

I've done that on numerous occasions and it always get me places. Not necessarily places I want to be, but places nonetheless.

Just keep on posting here, if your stuff is helpful and after a while the mods seem to think that you either know what you are on about or have a genuine interest they will let you in. Simple as that. (Being given access does not allow you into both areas btw, for example, I have had access to the magicians restricted areas for a long time, and I still don't have access to the mentalist areas .... but then again, I'm not a mentalist so I'm not missing anything that would interest me anyway =))

I had no informative or helpful posts. I had to put on a cocktail dress and send the photos to Mandrake.

Personally, I think that the restricted area should become un-restricted and we should then make the currently un-restricted area restricted.

This would prevent meaningless polls which has to make perfect sense as I thought of it first

That confuses me as much as the thought of Ian in a cocktail dress.... not that I think of Ian in a cocktail dress, or any other kind of dress for that matter...well, not very often anyway... :?

I think anyone with proven knowledge should have access to the restricted area,

My personal view is anyone who is member of either - B.S.M.E (psycretes), magic circle etc (maybe even those who have effects released) anyone that has proven themselves to be serious about the art or have passed some kind of audition or written exam.

(please not i am not just saying this as some it it applies to me ) just my opinion, and sorry if this has already been mentioned somewhere before.

Lee.

I'm on quite a few forums and in their private areas too.

Private areas are nothing special believe me. All they do is bitch and moan about the cheap decor or the p-poor food. Most make noobs lick the floors clean to earn their spurs and the old hands like to play "amusing noob pranks" like making you get the site logo tattooed on your bum. If the coffee machine breaks down it turns into a free for all and the infighting gets to maximum. And if they ask you to a meet, it's your round all night.

If you're really good and keep your nose clean you'll make mod (never again ) . That's when any free time you have flies out the window. And you get the blame for allowing the last idiot numpty into private. If they ask to see the nude photos, just leave.

Be careful what you wish for is all I can say. Keep your posts pointless and slightly ridiculous if you want a long a healthy life on any forum.

I've learned my lesson. I don't want to belong to any club that'll have me as member as Groucho said. I'll stay with the troops in the trenches.

Though its fun talking about uncleared members.

I just handed Mandrake and envelope and told him not to open it.

Then when he gave me access I said open the envelope.

About then I woke up.

I have no business in that area :) I still don't understand what have the acronyms they use for standard magic patters are :P

Were they smiling because they had just passed wind, or because they were planning some fart-based prank at your expense (for example, the Windy Sleeping Bag, a perfect camping prank for all the family!)

Stress from internal pressures, I think. Apprarently the poor chap went into Boots the Chemist and asked if they could give him something for the wind and... (all together now) .....they gave him a kite....

Thank you and goodnight, Mandrake has left the building...
