I get in on Thursday late afternoon. If the train is on time I will be at Blackpool North at 5.00pm which gives me time to register on Thursday to avoid the Friday queues. Got my stuff out ready to pack, Mrs Wizz does all of my packing. Managed to lose my case on the train last year so she has tied a bright yellow ribbon round the handle for me!!

I'm going to make a fresh one on blank faces if I have time, and spray, tonight. If not I still have the old one i'll bring then possibly see about making one Friday night in the hotel.
Need to make up a new KKID as I've realised Kenton Knepper has my last one!

You're in the office until tomorrow?!?!? Harsh!

Well, the first day has been a bit quiet, the Dealers are busy, loads of punters looking and buying and one or two aisles have been blocked by a mass of bodies all trying to see the same thing. The magic during the day was the Close Up Competition and, as is typical, the sound system proved to be a bit hit and miss at times, especially for those watching on screens outside the theatre - when will the Blackpool organisers manage to have a convention which is totally free of such problems :D ?

Stage Magic comp tonight and there’s a Wayne Dobson Lecture at the same time – choices, choices, choices.....

Tonight's show consisted of he winners of each individual FISM category so if you sat through all the competiton acts (like I did!) you'd see nothing new but it was still entertaining. Sad to report the compere/comedian got slow handclapped so after that event he stayed out of sight backstage and there were just voice over intros for each act. Not one of the highlights of the Convention by any means.
