1234. You might want to change it.
(I didn't do it over the phone, but I'm just saying, there are ways I can think of to meet that challenge)

Dear Uber. I do not believe the devil exists. And I know I can reproduce exactly what you have described at any moment with any person that I wish to.

So that being said, I am going to give you my professional opinion that your friend has used tricks on you.

Now, if you want to believe that the more likely explanation is that he is in league with Satan, there is not much that we can do to dissuade you.

If you are coming here and asking the question
"does real magic exist" than the simple answer is, yes.

Pigs blood is yummy. Black Pudding :D

Also, Im pretty sure this whole thing is a wind up. If not, seriously mate, it was a magic trick (mentalism trick, whatever). There are many clever people on here that could easily do this and more and it may seem utterly impossible. I had a girl say the same thing about a card trick today, but she didn't really believe that I was some kind of devil worshipper or something.

Its our art to make our actions seem impossible. If they seemed perfectly plausible, then magic would be pretty c*** (not the best) wouldn't it?

"I am going to make your card appear in this deck of cards somewhere!"
See what I mean?

Also, totally using that line next time I screw up a trick.

If by now you don't believe us, that is fine. As magicians we know better than anyone that human beings are naturally inclined to believe in a more fantastical 'secret' rather than a mundane and ultimatley dull set of logical, rational, reasoned actions which result in the supposed illogical, irrational and fatastical. In this way, magic is a paradox- a friend of reason, and challenging of perceptions by proving it all wrong. Your friend sounds like a fine showman, although perhaps unethical if he claims to posess mystical powers, unless it was the classic 'tongue in cheek' approach, which assumes some restrictions of the credulity of the audience and their ability to not take everything at face value- and that is the message here, and in magic in general.

Before posting here, I was 100% sure that it was a supernatural power that enabled him to do it. Now after reading the replies from all of you, I can say that most probably it was some trick that he was using. The only thing that had raised my suspicion initially that it could be a trick was why only "4 digit" number? Why not any number? But as SamGurney said "human beings are naturally inclined to believe in a more fantastical 'secret' " , this reasoning of mine didn't convince me that it could be a trick, but your replies that many of you can do the same thing, did.

Thank you.

I think you can hit the spot with 1234 for most of the four-digit combinations that aren't really important to their owner (I know that's the password to my voice mail).
