Christopher Nolan's globe trotting film, due for release soon, certainly looks like it shall live up to his usual level of film production.

I actually can not wait to see this, especially because of the whole "your mind is the scene of the crime" thing, and the plot being focused on entering other peoples dreams and the power of ideas.

I have never been let down by one of Nolan's films yet, and although they may be Hollywood action blockbusters, it certainly does not mean they will be full of SFX tripe. In fact, i read in an article on the production of the film, that they built a revolving corridor for one of the fight scenes, in which the stunt men actually had to learn to fight whilst rotating!

Aside from that, has anyone seen Christopher Nolan's 'The Prestige'? For me that has to be the best modern film focused on magic in the realistic sense, mostly that is.

I really liked the Prestige, Following and The Dark Knight. I had not heard about this until now but it looks sort of cool (although I'm not entirely sure what it's about). :)

Pete: Holy Bible?
Barton: Yeah.
Pete: Yeah, I think so. Anyway, I've heard about it.

Well Hollywood have kept it under wraps as though it were the crown jewels, and all information on it is a couple of simple articles and the trailers.

Dreams, the mind and globe trotting, thats all i know of it so far but thats enough to excite me

Hmmm that appears to be the idea - nobody knows what it's about :-)

I LOVE 'Following', we must watch that pretty regularly in our house and it never fails to amaze!

The Prestige was good but having loved the book for so long beforehand, I couldn't help but be critical (although I can't imagine how it could have been adapted any better...)

And as much as I love the Batman flicks, I still think his best film is Memento - I watched that with absolutely no idea of what it was about, it was simply that the movie I had gone to see was fully booked, so I just chose the next showing!!

Memento is one of the best neo-noirs of late.

Every time i watch it the complexity of the narrative still amazes me!

I really want to watch Following, in fact i shall go and order it now :)

I am going to end up watching this pretty soon I am sure, just for the simple fact that as soon as we get in the cinema and the mrs see's a picture of Leo, she instantly buys tickets for it while I am getting popcorn.

I'm still recovering from the Shutter Island incident.

I actually like Leo - at least he can act and seems to be doing his best to shake off the pretty boy image.

And Shutter Island was fantastic - gotta love Scorcese, eh?

Yeah scorcese is brilliant and i think that Leo is one of the best young actors out there at the moment.

I thought the first half of SHutter Island was a bit slow but the rest was good.

Check out the new trailer for 'Inception' - lots more plot details.....

July can't come soon enough - Oh and I'm lucky enough to be working in Seattle around the release date. I think a trip to their humongous IMAX screen might be just the place to see this!

Lucky you! Nolan likes his IMAX shots (remember opening sequence to The Dark Knight) so Inception should be bloody brilliant in that format.

In fact, when they were filming The Dark Knight, they managed to smash one of the few IMAX cameras in the world to bits in the tunnel chase sequence - $350,000 down the drain in a matter of seconds! Now theres only three left if i remember rightly.

Just watched that new trailer and it does continue to wet my appetite, can't wait!

I know - I am very lucky!! I saw The Dark Knight in that IMAX theatre the last time I was over... it was bloody fantastic!!

I wouldn't worry too much about the IMAX Camera - I'm sure TDK grossed more than enough to buy a couple of replacements :-)

Well the problem is i think there are only 3 left in the world now?

I should know more about them as a film student but im not too sure why they don't make some more, but if i recall correctly there are only several left (we're talking portable/handheld IMAX cameras.)

Not too confident on my remarks but i know the handheld ones are pretty special, considering how big an IMAX reel is.

He does love his IMAX - current rumours are that the next Batman instalment will be shot entirely on IMAX cameras...

Currently set for release on July 20th 2012 - that should be one heck of a year (what with the end of the world and all that.... :-))

Aha yeh, lets hope the end of the world has a bit of a better plot than the movie. (2012 that is)

Saw Inception today. It has earned its place in my top 10 films already.

As usual Nolan's style is contemporary yet serious and very adhering. The plot is incredibly well designed, as for the story behind/around it, and is conducted in such a way that you can understand what is happening if you pay attention, which was a struggle in some of his earlier films (i.e. Memento.)

The special effects are brilliant, the performances are superb (DiCaprio's being, in my opinion, one of his best) and the film as a whole is a great success.

I do warn you now that if you are not an avid film fan, or you do not like to think about a film and pay close attention, then it will not be to your liking, but for those that do, this is a an absolute must see.

I can't praise it, and Nolan, enough.
