£200 for a screwdriver? I could get you a decent set of screwdrivers for about £25 and a nice Hammer Drill for £200 with chisels, drill bits , holes saws and magnet screw driver bits.

I am master of misdirection, look over there.

We are not falling out young Welshy, we are debating, I think farlsy is an idiot he thinks I am one. We are just talking about who is the bigger idiot.

Forget what these people are telling you, its a toy for chissake, and if you modify it you may actually increase its value.

Go to your diy electronics place. Here they have Radio Shack which sells all kinds electronic doo dads.

If you have a soldering gun, (a real one) get yourself a dual flux capacitor, but not a balanced one. DB out should be 4db, db in needs to be 6 but 12 is easier to find and it will work. Get a small watch battery and you good to go.

If you run at 88 mph with that, you can time travel as well, which is always an added bonus. Much easier than carrying a tardis around.

Well, if this thread has served no other purpose (and it probably hasn't) then at least it's put me in the mood to rewatch The Visitation.

I was not going to mention that because one could create quite the mentalism act, but alas, it would be cheating, and not real mentalism.

And this thread serves quite the purpose. I've worked the last 15 days 10ish hours a day without a break, a post now and then helps break things up.

Indeed it does. But does it not make us cybermen?

Is that only because another Sonic is completely wrecked in that story, though?! :wink: :lol:

Depends whether we're talking Cybermen or Cybusmen - it's a vital distinction, y'know :wink:

Now my brain hurtzzzz.

Anywho, IMHO screwing* up a £200 prop isn't really a good idea, just nip down to Argos or wherever and buy the placstic version for less than £15.00...

* Pun intended.

Think Geek also has a Sonic Screw Driver that works, but it's like 30 bucks and it's metal. I'd say go with taking apart the cheap plastic one over the expensive one. Because if you break the cheap one, you can easily buy a new one. With the expensive one, you're pretty much SOL and end up looking like a idiot.

Absolutely! I was mortified at the time, as The Doctor said, "It feels like I've lost an old friend" ..... Now though, I pray that something similar would happen, ever since the new series started I've hated the way that damn device does everything!
