Not with me you won't. I live in Canada.
It ain't gonna happen again. Of course you can see Paul any time.

Of course I may drop dead on the plane on the way over. If that happens Martin Macmillan will probably have a heart attack himself since he is paying for the hotel and airfare. I have noticed it says "non refundable" on the ticket.

Oh well, I always did cause International Magic a lot of trouble.

That makes me sound so cheap!

I'm actually thinking of running the cold reading workshop in Edinburgh nearer to Christmas. That may be better for Chris Stewart?

Oh, don't do it in Edinburgh. You won't get many customers there. They are far too tight fisted. Go down the road to Glasgow where Chris comes from. The Glaswegians are the best punters in the United Kingdom except for those in Northern Ireland. Yorkshire is the worst. And they are also too hard headed and practical to be interested in psychic readings.

You see why my life has been so hard??? If you can make a living from doing reading in Yorkshire, you can do it anywhere. No wonder I'm so good at it! :D

Yes. And if you live in Yorkshire no wonder you have to charge so cheaply for readings as you mentioned in another thread.

I still remember selling svengali decks down south when I first started. I got a dreadful shock when I tried to do the same thing up north, especially in Yorkshire. In the end I had to bring the price down. It was awful.

And when I worked in Blackpool all the locals dreaded the Yorkshire holidaymakers because they plain would't spend anything. In contrast the Glasgow fortnight when all the Glaswegians came down to Blackpool were a bonanza of money.

In Yorkshire they used to have, and still do for all I know , what is known as "Yorkshire Wakes Weeks" when all the factories closed and everyone came to Blackpool for their holidays.

The saying in Blackpool was "Yorkshire wakes when Blackpool sleeps"

I won't be putting on lectures in Yorkshire in a hurry. Try Glasgow. You will do great. Of course I come from Glasgow so I know.

you'er lucky.. I was born five minutes after i died, and lived in a shoebox in the middle of the road. every morning father would come down stairs and beet us to death with a stick studded with broken glass, whilst mother fed us hot gravel till we were sick. we were poor, but we were happy.. kids today, dont know they've been born!

you're like Yoda.you dont say much, but what you do say is worth listening to....

I have received a psychic vibe that there may be troublemakers at my lecture. Naturally they will have to pay in advance so that may deter them a trifle.

I suppose I had better inform Martin so he can prepare for these wicked people in advance. I am sure that I shall be protected by members of the audience who will have actually paid good money to be there and won't welcome interruptions by the impertinent. After all they have paid to learn something.

Years ago I did a similar seminar and got great glee when the audience got out of control with sceptics and believers almost coming to blows. It was the funniest thing I have ever seen. Of course I got great amusement out of the whole thing. I always did have an odd sense of humour.

Of course Paul Pacific was a witness to the whole thing. He loves trouble as much as I do and I have always suspected he arranged the whole thing.

Tickets are selling well for my event on the Sunday. Room is limited at Treadwells (as many of you will be aware), so please book earlier rather than later to avoid disappointment.

Subtle. And it has not gone unnoticed.

However my lecture will be far more entertaining with audience members fighting with each other and people trying to kill me. I expect lots of chairs and broken bottles flying round the room. Far more exciting than Paul's lecture I promise.

Besides I suspect International Magic will be putting a hex on him for promoting a similar lecture a few days after me at a fraction of the price. They might deem it a deliberate act especially as he seemed to arrange it after I announced mine.

Not that I care. I am getting paid anyway. Still, they may deem the matter to be a bit off. Or they may not. I have no idea. I haven't spoken to Martin about it.

I wish Paul the best of luck with it.

I do have one advantage over him though. I am MARK LEWIS and he isn't.

Existing as I do on a higher spiritual plane, I find it dilutes the psychic energy to engage in such tittle tattle.

However I should just point out that I work at Treadwells on a very regular basis. Earlier in the year, I (along with Chris Carter) ran a very successful seance workshop at Treadwells, and I perform my Jack the Ripper seance at Treadwells several times a year.

In fact one Jack the Ripper Seance took place on the same night as the BAFTA awards, which were being hosted in a theatre just around the corner from Treadwells. In the same way that I can assure the BAFTA committee that it was not my intention to steal their thunder by running the Jack the Ripper Seance on the same night as their awards ceremony, I can promise International Magic that the work I do at Treadwells is in no way influenced by whether or not Mark Lewis happens to be in the country.

And now I must meditate. OMMMMMM....

Oh, I don't care. I don't suppose Martin does either. He is a very easy going sort of person. I don't know what he thinks but I expect he doesn't give a toss. And neither do I. I just feel like causing trouble. Habit of a lifetime you know.

Besides I have seen the list of people for my event. It seems a very respectable number to me. And we expect even more. Paul's event won't affect us in the slightest.

And in fact we don't necessarily want to pack the rafters with people. From a teaching point of view it is actually better to have fewer people.

There. All this meditation must be working on me.
