Just to let you know, my photobox prints came this morning and they are perfect for the effect. Make sure you order Gloss with Border on 6x4 (although im tempted to make it 5x7 next time) They tear well, and are absolutely perfect for the effect

Well, maybe the gloss doesnt matter, but the main thing is to order the border! :D

Another (probably daft) question: The demo vids show two different sizes of photos, are there many different sizes of templates?

Yes, Mandrake; I think there are three different sizes.

Hi Mark,

The ones I ordered (borderless, but with Shrink To fit turned on) came out ok, one of the edges is a little tight., I've just reordered with the border turned on, on 6x4.5

I'll use the ones that didn't come out correctly as practice. I now have to make up a whole load of pictures!

Just ordered 10 6x4 gloss no border.

Fingers crossed.

Why is it so difficult? Surely a way of framing your photos onto the paper would be so much easier.

To be honest, the borders aren't really all that important. I've been using my cropped ones from Boots with no problem. People don't even notice if there's a white border or not beforehand so when you reveal the restored photo, no one's going to think anything of the border.

Having succumbed to the temptation to buy this, I can see that printing your own photos needs some jiggery pokery but Photoshop is rather expensive! I haven't tried Gimp yet but have managed to get very close to the originals using a very old Paint Shop Pro 7 program - I believe Correl eventually took Paint Shop over and the brand no longer exists as a separate identity. In PSP7 there's the facility to 'assemble' and print so, as long as the details of the templates are followed, what turns out is quite useable, certainly good enough to practice. More work needed on this but it's looking easier than Gimp and far cheaper than Photoshop!

The DVD is excellent, Shawn’s tutoring is extremely good and the back history is fascinating – T2P is well worth the money IMHO

Quick update - 10 6x4 gloss no border from Photobox seems fine. The gloss paper is a little thicker than I was using last week but i've made a few & am ordering another 40 for free tomorrow.
