It is a lovely effect, almost too strong for what I want to use it for.

I'm off to Jessops at lunch time to get a some photos printed up.

I've purchased this too.

I understand there is an alternate template around for use with newer versions of Gimp.

If people need it then you can send proof of postage to Shawn and he will send back the alternate template.

*Edit* I see this has already been mentioned... I have used Tescos photos in the past, as you can pick your pictures up in store one hour later for no extra charge. If you get enough prints it works out pretty cheap. My home printer is quite expensive to run since it seems to have an unquenchable thirst for ink.

I have just recieved this and have watched and perused the disc and all its contents.

Very impressive

One thing I've noticed is on the photoshop tutorial he drags the Template to desktop and uses it, however on my disc there are loads of templates. Which is the one you use for an identically sized image to the one supplied?

This is probably self evident but I thought I'd get the question out of the way because I'm wasting my day off tomorrow to do this and want to get as many potential stumbling blocks out of the way.

Its the PSD wallet image you need, I think its the first one on the disc.

Can I just apologise in advance to any one living in the London / south east area for my language and loud shouting tomorrow as I try to get this template sorted.
Yes the dvd makes it look simple but it didn't take in to account the 'greedo effect' when it comes to computers

I'll be picking up my photos of the Corpse Bride tomorrow, all ready for Halloween.

Any problems give me a bell as I have an out of date version of photo shop. But I did it in the end.

Iain, any chance I could take upon your offer? Im completely computer illiterate, and this template stuff is winding me up!

I had a fiddle in Gimp last night ( that doesn't sound quite right) and have managed to produce my first photo. I happened to have a shot of my own daughter posing with an owl, so that fits the 'magic' theme quite well.

It took me about an hour to get my head around what I was doing and what had to go where. Once understood it doesn't take long to actually make up an image.

I'm happy to try creating one for someone else who has purchased this if they are really stuck, but I cannot promise a fast turnaround. Alternatively I'm happy to try to help anyone use Gimp with the templates to build their own.

A wee word of warning when getting your prints done if using those plug in a print machines in supermarkets and what-not. I just printed out 10 prints at Asda and they cannot be torn. The plastic coating has made them indestructable.

Where did people get theirs printed other than at home of course?

I know that photobox.co.uk is great for prints, and I know they do tear well.

Prints are only about 4p each there too

Oooh thanks for the heads-up. I've ordered 10 prints from Tescos Online, I'll see if I can pick them up later and check for tearability.

I must say it was all rather easy. I downloaded adobe photoshop 30 day trial, followed the instructions on the dvd and, bobs your uncle, it's done.

I'm now going to get as many different jpg's made and saved as I can before the trial runs out.

photobox is very cheap and if you join you get 40 free prints (80 performances for free....bargain). Add a border I think for safety as my Asda ones not only wouldnt rip but had no white border

If anyone wants to use Photobox, please send me your email and ill refer you, which basically means ill email you through Photobox. You will get 50 extra free prints through my referral, and I also get a reward.
